What did we see tonight?
Tonight, we either saw a watershed in American politics, a tour de force, the most striking and graceful debut in our nations political life, and a national introduction that makes Barack Obamas 2004 convention address look like small potatoes or we saw what we wanted to see, and the countrys persuadable independents saw something else. Im afraid to believe. If Im wrong, I dont really know what Americans want. I know conservatives are thrilled to pieces, and they ought to be. She knocked it out of the park. I dont think she could have delivered that speech any better. Even if I hadnt suggested a line, I would say that the speech hit almost every note just right. (Did the Obama fans feel this way? Is this what their exultation feels like? Wonderful. Im glad they get to experience it too.)
My e-mail box is thrilled. Cam's Talkbackers are thrilled "you called down the thunder, and now ya have it."

I’ve grown old and cynical, but the LADY made me cry. Hooray for Saint Sarah I’ll follow you through the gates of H@!!.
Oui!
We witnessed history tonight, my FRiends.
Sarah!
You were more than simply impressive.
You were (vice) Presidential!
Moose stew, all around! And keep it coming.
I think she can go over the heads of the MSM, Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party), "intellectuals," et al. She's a "Ronda Reagan."
Brit Hume: A star is born
WOW. what a speech!
We saw a woman who will be finishing her second term in the Oval Office the year her first grandchild (yet unborn) is getting his drivers license.
When I pay my bills this weekend, I will be sending a check or an online contribution to McCain/Palin. And I’ll do it with a smile.
Hard to believe just months ago I was returning the requests for money from McCain and the RNC with copies of the McCain peso.
This is THE year for surprises.
I’ve got a dentist appointment this weekend, but I may let Barack Obama take my place: he might need it. He had be missing a few teeth by the time that speech was over!
Go Sarah!
No way the liberal media can allow that speech to run again.
They’ll only air the liberal attacks on it.
Whoever said she’s Reagan in pumps got it right.
WOW! OMG! Gov. Palin knocked the ball out of the COUNTY!
You have just witnessed the first nationally covered speech for the Republican candidate for the 2012 election for the U.S. Presidency, Republican Vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin!
GOD BLESS AMERICA - THIS GREAT NATION NEVER FAILS TO MEET TODAY’S CHALLENGE!!!
Right after the speech I tuned in to the local left-of-center radio talk show. The first caller (a lib) was very thoughtful, not a raving loon. He sounded very worried and scared. He thought her delivery and appearance made her very appealing (to the unwashed masses).
As Richard Nixon said after Ronald Reagan spoke: "Wooooooowwww...".
Better check Chrissy Mathews to see if he has anything running down his pants...
They were just field-dressed by a master.
Grace and charm wrapped up into Jeff Foxworthy in a skirt. WOW!
I’m speechless. I have no speech.
It was totally unexpected.
Wow. Just wow.
The reason the left is so scared is that she has the star power of Obama, but she also has the goods to back up all the talk.
Here’s how **I** know how good the speech was:
My 75 year old voting mother, who was believing much of the press and very wary about Sarah, called **me** towards the end of the speech gushing how America has a new hero and that Obama better watch out.
Makes me feel even better about what I saw!
