It’s as relevant as anything about Palin’s kids. Biden had VERY low name recognition before he was picked by Obambi.

Who the heck cares. I didn’t care back then and I don’t care now.

Didn’t care that one of the Bush twins used illegal i.d. to buy alcohol in Austin either.

“Sen. Biden’s spokeswoman, Margaret Aitken, declined to comment, calling it a private, family matter.”

Uh, no. We need to know exactly what she was alleged to have said that was threatening. Was she telling the officer who her daddy was? Was she telling the officer that her daddy would talk to Obama about the matter with dire consequences to the officers career?

Having a baby is a private family matter. A baby this born with Downs is a private family matter.

A daughter of a vice presidential nominee that attempts to interfere with police in the lawful execution of their duties by some manner of threats IS absolute public business and should be fully investigated. If the investigation shows that the daughter was attempting to obstruct the police using her real or imagined influnce then that needs to be known. If it is determined that, in fact, the officer has or is retaliated against for doing his/her job, the people involved with that kind of influenceal intimidation should be exposed and jailed along with the daughter.

Yes. I agree.

Of course, he was a perfectly qualified candidate BEFORE it was announced that his DAUGHTER once got arrested.

You’re right. We need to show that we differ from the left. This whole thing against Palin is about to backfire. If we now begin to attack Biden’s daughter, we’ll win nothing.

We’ll just shame the McCain/Palin campaign.

A low IQ flake like Biden should have been fixed before assaulting the rest of us with his genetic mistakes.

Something else that gets overlooked....

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2069846/posts

Sen. Joseph Biden - Bearing false witness...

[snip]“In a striking moment in December 2007, he opened his heart to University of Iowa students. “Let me tell you a little story. My wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree, a tractor trailer, a guy who allegedly, and I never pursued it, drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family, killed my wife instantly, killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons.”

Out on the stump recently and for years, Biden has repeated this charge. Lately, he has tried to soften it with the thought that he doesn’t know if the semi truck driver was drunk...., “ I never pursued it”. He didn’t follow the case about the death of his wife and child? Give me a break.

The court certainly did. The driver was never charged and was cleared of any wrong doing. Mrs. Biden, driving a station wagon full of kids and a Christmas tree pulled into the truck’s path. The driver, also a victim, had not been drinking and for the years before his death his reputation suffered with the false charge that Biden put out in the public for sympathy and political gain.

A good opportunity for our side to show some class.

People who use that word usually don't have any.

Let me see if I can be more clear.

The only “official” response from the campaign, the RNC or any Republican official should be that this is a family matter.

I have no doubt that the blogs and some of talk radio will point out the hypocrisy. But I don’t see our need to get in the gutter with DailyKos to carry our message.

Your mileage may vary.

And FWIW, Sarah Palin is not going to be forced off the ticket.

Speaking for myself, I didn’t “go” anywhere. The Los Angeles Times thought it newsworthy enough to report it. I merely posted it.

You’re the one who made yourself click on the thread and post. You could have chosen not to comment, but you didn’t.

It’s that dang broken Vetting Process. It needs to be changed. We need to make sure every part of their lives are exposed, their homes and offices searched, there letters opened, phones calls listed, nanny’s, baby sitters, school teachers and professors subpoenaed, Pets checked for flees, eating habits, TV shows watched, etc etc etc. What right do they have to keep any part of their life private? Sarc.

Ahh- but Mr. Palin’s DUI was longer ago than that and yet we got to hear about it...definately looks like a double standard from where I am in my small town, clinging to my guns...
