Condoms are not used to prevent sexual activity. Thanks, I know all about what condoms are for. I just mistyped; should have written "teenage pregnancy".

Funny thing about politics and the people who practice it Reagan Man, very often they don’t understand the American people and make rash judgements based on polling and spin and fear. That’s the politics of the past. Republican political operatives have had us all wrong for a while now but McCain’s people seem to understand real life America.
This election is about humanizing Republicans and how THEY feel about the “least among us” and that includes babies. This issue allows Palin or McCain to use Barack’s words against him in a way that doesn’t seem as if it’s coming out of thin air.

>>>>>>Personally, I think Sarah Palin comes out of this looking better than ever. Whatever. I hope I'm wrong. Right now, I see no upside to this. Its wrecks of poor judgment by both McCain and Palin. And it doesn't help get them elected either.
Remember, conservatives are trying to keep the most liberal ticket to ever run for the two highest offices in the world, on the sidelines. This doesn't advance that overall effort in the least. It only undermines the chances for a GOP ticket victory in November.

Exactly. Ive posted this before - Obama is pushing Chicago-style destroy/intimidate politics to a national level. He has never had to actually compete for the positions hes held. His surrogates work to destroy anyone who is perceived as a threat. Look at how he removed Jack Ryan, Alice Palmer and others from the field of competition. Hes never had to truly debate and defend his positions. And all the while, he attempts to be aloof and uninvolved in the attack. His puppetmasters are working overtime to destroy Governor Palin. He cant counter her provable experience which renders his political rhetoric useless - it only highlights his ineptitude. So he wants her gone. The blessing is that the new media keeps a spotlight of truth on his actions.
Yep. I said this in another thread before this story was even known, when Obama said he didn't have anything to say about Palin, I immediate KNEW he and his people were behind the attacks on the blogs. I knew it just from his gentle careful words about Palin to the media.

I don’t think it gives any ammunition to anybody. These things happen and they always have and always will. It’s not the ideal, but the important thing is not the situation, but the response. And I think people are seeing the right response, and it will be a really great learning experience for many of them (who for decades have heard only the drumbeat of abortion, abortion, abortion, in the case of an unexpected pregnancy).

My first thought was certainly, “OH NO”... however, after thinking about it for 10 minutes, I realized how wrong that knee-jerk reaction was. Right now, I’m not certain either way - it is really up to the general public. I’m betting it won’t matter that much, though, as far as their opinion about Gov.Palin.
As I said, though, it REALLY raised my respect for John McCain - that he would take her on AFTER KNOWING ABOUT THIS FACTOR! Amazing! It really defangs the argument that his only reason for deciding to tap Palin was blatant political considerations.

Bristol *was* wearing some sort of ring on Friday. It could be seen clearly while she was holding her baby brother.
