ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Just read what I wrote - don’t mean to malign working parents. Of course we all have to work! (Someone has to pay the taxes for those that don’t!) I meant if both parents are working at the same time and while the children are out of school - then the kids are left alone. That’s the only time I was concerned with.
That would be sort of like ignoring the elephant in the room.
First you try to paint Palin supporters as Messiah worshippers, then you say you’re just waiting on the facts? You didn’t wait on the facts. You blew it.
You still try to say we ‘genuflect’, that we ‘erect shrines’.
But no, you’re just ‘waiting on the facts’.
Here’s the difference: I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. If I’m wrong later, then I’m wrong. [Shurg.] At least I wasn’t pre-judging her. You, on the other hand, want to be sour grapes. If you’re wrong later, what then?
One thing I learned the hard way in this forum: people should think long and hard before they pee in someone’s cheerios. That’s what leftists did when they “Borked” Clarence Thomas.
Why on earth would they put the baby up for adoption? They are surrounded by a loving and supportive family. They’ll do just fine.
Who's being "blinded to the problems"? It sounds as if this young woman and young man and their families have discussed this issue and determined the proper course of action which is best for the parties involved.
It certainly seems that responsibility has been addressed by everyone in this situation. Why are you so opposed to that?
No, in fact he is the father of the child who now exists. It is whether or not he will be a responsible father that remains to be seen, not whether he "becomes" a father.
Cordially,
You’ve got it backwards. I’m reserving judgement on the lady and her politics until I get facts. Her 2 years as governor does not show her stances on national issues.
And you are acting like she’s the ‘chosen one’ because you don’t seem to care one whit about her unknown politics. Nor the problem in her family life. Ignoring those things means you are desperate for a candidate you can back, regardless of who they are. That’s dangerous.
If you like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, are you also giving Obama that? Maybe he’ll change once in office too, like many are hoping McAmnesty will.
Adoption is the most loving thing you can do if you are not prepared to be a parent. If you need substantial support from family, you might not be ready to be a parent. If you have not yet finished high school, you are likely not ideally prepared to be a parent. If you are still posting profanity and writing about how you live for hockey and hanging with the guys on your myspace page, you probably aren’t ready for the responsibility of a wife and child.
The best thing for the child is to be raised by loving, stable, married parents. Often the best way to achieve that is through adoption.
That is so wrong on so many levels. A child is ALWAYS better off with family, and yes, the support system is one of the most important things that matter.
Oh please, what about cheney’s daughter, reagan’s daughter.
You are just buying into the MSM feeding frenzy.
It's his job to win the election which he may have to do without your vote. There are bigger things at stake like the 2nd amendment which we barely won (5-4) than one person's personal matter or another person's reaction to it. The media are going to do their job to keep conservatives home in November so they can have their way with the Supreme Court.
What you vote in November is of no consequence. What you say now is of great consequence. You can help us, or help the media drive their wedges into the conservative base. I hope you choose wisely and soon.
"I think [Palin]s a lousy parent ... but I'm just waiting for the facts." -- cottonball
It must be nice to be perfect and never make mistakes. It’s how you handle your mistakes that is the difference between Rep. and Dems. We take care of our own, they want the govt. to intervene.
“Should we be like the libs - and have no values, no morals, no ethics? Seems we’re so desperate for a candidate we can back that we’re throwing away that which makes us different from the left.”
Do what? Please be specific.
