No family survives the White House unscathed.
People are not always conscious of when they’re being turned into operatives of the left. Most have no idea, as a matter of fact. My dad’s a smart guy — really smart, but he’s a yellow dog democrat trying to save the planet from ‘global warming’. Alan Keyes is a genius, but he’s now an operative of the left and doesn’t even know it. Bob Barr too. Savage and Boortz — both brilliant men, were used in 06 for our defeat. Perot is no idiot. He got played too. In fact, just think about Soros and Warren Buffet. I think that McCain was used by the left more than once himself. He’s not alone.

Kids do really stupid things despite our best intentions.
That's true. But kids with working parents tend to do more, just because they don't have the guidance as often. And it's not even the issue of what the daughter did, but how she is being treated now. I wouldn't want my 17 year old pregnant daughter being the subject of every newspaper or my grandchild being scrutinized from the day they were born. It's a bad enough situation without making it very public and the topic of household conversation.

Are you talking about Chris Ray? He isn’t the father.
To: Diamond
Correction: he already is a father.
Correction: He's a sperm doner. Whether he becomes a father or not remains to be seen. Many teenagers cannot handle the responsibility.

“If Palin were to withdraw, that would be a huge blow politically.”
Good point. This to me is typical McCain. No situational awareness.
I hope it does all work out for them, but tell me do the odds go up or down if the Palins stay in Alaska? Get out of the spotlight. What about the kid. It will be plastered all over the news. The tabloids will pay for “first photo.”
What should be a private matter becomes public topic number one.

I think you are rather enjoying your infamy and attention on this thread.
And you still didnt answer the question;
are you going to vote for McCain/Palin, or are you more interested in pushing your agenda ad nauseum?

You beat me to it! Takes a heck of a lot more than a sperm to be a dad.

"I'm one of a handful here with rational thoughts, waiting"It's all about you? And no you're not just waiting...your posting.
Sad, cold and lonely out in the wilderness of, "that's not what I'd do" watching the world go by, huh?

You are forgetting about the role of choice here. You can choose not to become the spectacle of the MSM. Plenty of elites stay out of it. As for adoption, it's the mother/family's choice. Age doesn't not preclude one for being a good mother. (Nor does age make a good mother)
True - I imagine it would be hard to escape the MSM, but it they stay in Alaska, they could probably do it. No, age isn't a factor in good mothering - but maturity is. I wasn't even thinking of her mothering ability w/r adopting, but rather having an intact home for the baby. Statistically, most teenage marriages don't last. Hopefully, this one will - like if you said, they can resume a normal life out of the spotlight. I hadn't thought that they could do it, but you're right - now that I think about it, many VP children are never heard from the in press.

Obviously you do not read my posts.

She certainly shouldn't withdraw. That would be adding fuel to the fire.

I think there might be a way to keep it pretty low key. How closely was Cheney’s daughter followed during her pregnancy? And I argue that hers was a bigger story and certainly the media would find it hard to hate Palin as much as they hate Cheney.
Obama, to his credit, has set the stage to call for her privacy and while it won’t be total, the disgust of the populace if the media goes too far might help the situation. She will remain in Alaska, I wager so that helps. Her town will rally around her.

I'm trying to throw barbs, and yet I think you have many important moral and political points to make. For that I'm apologize.

Don’t have any yet, just headlines. Sticking my neck out to give you a heads up, but have nothing more.

Quit blaming Sarah Palin and her daughter for the actions of the press. If you’re pissed at the press, then blame them. The amount of tranference here is amazing!

I havent read all you self-righteous, judgmental posts, and have skipped over some of them, as you have tried to monopolize this thread in your own holier-than-thou way.
But I have read enough of them the past two days to be able to detect your bitterness towards the GOP ticket, and i am quite sure you have an ulterior motive.
