ST. PAUL -- The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.

Shhhhhh, don’t burst her bubble of perfection. She is the one who does no wrong.
“Helluva job vetting there, McCain. LOL”
Unless he was lied to outright.
Get her off the ticket. She can’t take care of her family, how the heck can she be VP?
Very disappointing.
LOL!!
I didn’t identify anyone by name...yet you replied as a member for 1 month...
Arrrrr, it's the only way, matey!
Really??????????????????
“So, is teen abortion ok?”
No but the easiest way to stop it is to stop teen pregnancy.
McCain flubbed up because it will cost him votes. I think he makes bad decisions and this is one. I will not be the only one.
Must be this is why it was designated as LABOR DAY. I hope that Bristol has a healthy baby and she too goes through the birthing in good health.
“...When Christ chose to come to earth, He came not to those who were safe, wealthy or acceptable; instead, Christ came to a young girl, not yet married, afraid, and uncertain of her future...”
Well said. He rebuked the self righteous. Kept company with commercial fisherman, lepers, tax collectors...
Not with the holier-than-thou-sinless crowd.
Fine. Then let's appreciate and defend our folks and go after the Lib hypocrites as needed. For the most part, I think you can now see that most conservatives accept the situation and are very enthused about our next VP and the first lady President (in the future).
THANK YOU for the picture!
This lays to rest anything like “cover up”
Sorry, Tomas - you are grasping at straws with that charge. They “hid” nothing. I’ll bet there are a few other things in their life that haven’t been announced, either - like maybe Piper got a C in Math last year -
This is a real family, not one with perfect people.
I, for one here, can relate to that. I’m sorry you can not.
YOU are an A$$! When were you an unwed pregnant teen? You don't have the foggiest clue!
Yes. In every and all contexts!
Romneybot right?
This scandal sure will bring up McCain's marital history, and it will cause a diversion and division as it already has on FR. And I nothing further to say to somebody as silly as you.
Yes, and that monk took it from an ancient fragment that some scholars believe was part of an early manuscript of Luke. I don’t know of any Christian denomination that doesn’t believe that John 8 isn’t the inspired Word of God, no matter who wrote it.
None-the-less, she understood that life is precious and that murder of her unborn child was not an option. She also realized that marrying the father of her child was the right thing to do.
You're assuming Bristol had some kind of sex ed. Palin preaches abstinence only. That's probably as far as it went with Bristol.
I'm not going to suggest, because that's not my place. They are her parents; and it's their right to deal with their daughter as they see fit.
However, the fact that their underage daughter is now pregnant opens up all sorts of questions about whether Gov. Palin is properly balancing her pursuit of a career in government and her responsibilities to her family, including instilling values such as "you can get pregnant AFTER marriage" in her children.
And this is a valid issue, especially since she could potentially serve as President in case McCain is otherwise incapacitated. Could family problems such as this one interfere with her ability to carry out her job as Vice President, on a day-to-day basis, or as President, should the need arise?
Is that what God has done with us, with you? Did he turn his back on us, ashamed of all our cruel and mean words of judgement?
He did not turn his back on us, but we do still have to acknowledge our sins and our screw-ups and then repent and ask forgiveness.
“When I say, “Conservatism works every time it’s tried,” of course, that’s not as
true as saying, “Abstinence works every time it’s tried,””
Rush
He may lose some votes over this but it’s just as much a possibility that some undecideds, who’ve had to deal with this in their own families, will see this as something they can identify with and he’ll pick up votes.
