Once McCain accepts the nomination he's locked into that stupid public financing crap that he himself supported. Now is the time contribute to the campaign and make plans to work in this year's 72 hour push. We have made our feelings known about him and that is now in the past. We made our feelings known about Ridge and Lieberman and the rest, and he listened. Now's time to get to work to elect the McCain/Palin ticket and a conservative Congress for them to work with.

AMEN!! I flip flopped on McCain yesterday.
I think it is only appropriate to thank McCain for this appointment and to tell him that we approve his message.
We can survive 4 years of McCain, especially if we know we have a chance at President Palin or Jindal, but do you really want 8 years of Obama?
And if enough conservatives do that Obama/Biden wins and there won’t be much left to conserve in ‘12.
On the other hand....
Even if you (like myself and many) aren’t the biggest McCain fans on the block but you still vote for him — there is a darned good chance that in ‘12 (and certainly in ‘16) Palin runs and wins the Presidency.
I see. So conservatives who don’t vote McCain are traitors to conservatism, not McCain himself?
Amen! I donated yesterday, as soon as I got off work, since I was at work when I heard the good news! Even though we’re pinching pennies, this is too important to let it ride out.
The more I learned about obama, though, the less I felt the need to pinch my nose.
Before the Palin VP choice, I only thought I had something to lose. Now I feel like I have something to win in this election and that's kind of refreshing.
I'm also getting e-mails, btw, from (former democrat) family members stating that this has sealed their vote for mccain.
Way to throw salt on the wounds of folks who already felt their principles were betrayed. You sure know how to unite and inspire. :p
I'm neither, and I am (at this point in time) not voting McCain.
Sarah Palin IS a really OUTSTANDING choice made by Senator McCain, and we who believe that need to spread the word about the high quality of this first make-or-break, all-in executive decision of his campaign. My wife and I “wrote her in” on our McCain bumper stickers yesterday
Compared to the Hillary whiff, or the Biden bunt single - that he failed to bring home with his cliche-filled acceptance speech - McCain’s appearance with Ms Palin was a home run. Both presentations were excellent, and the crowd made that plain.
We will be working the Shelby County Republican Party booth at the Delta Fair this week, handing out registration forms and brochures, selling T-shirts, and otherwise stumping for the team. And now we really have something to talk about!
What a terrific candidate and what a wonderful family!
This is the first time I’ve been able to get enthused about this interminably long and depressing election campaign.
The greatest thing about Sarah’s candidacy is that it may completely rejuvinate the conservative movement for the next 16 or more years while at the same time drag America back from the looming fall into hard core socialism the big money Obama supporters have planned for us.
When this GovernMental EnvironMental hoax becomes federal policy, you can kiss your Republican Property Rights and control, or privacy of your private property in this country, GOODBYE!!!
She's refreshing compared to McGore, but she's just another "Rock Star" only on our side!!!
The politics of expediency is ruining our democrat process!!!
This is actually akin to the Dan Quayle surprise...
Well said!!!
Mark Levin said yesterday that McCain came through for Conservatives so its time for us to come through for him

X ACT LEE
Then he can go to hell.

Yeah I know man, but wouldn’t it be more fun to tell him to go to hell while he is in the Whitehouse? C’mon.
Palin is a move in the RIGHT direction.
There is some real strange logic being posted around here, isn’t there?
So, 8 years of a socialist Obama regime will make things all better, eh? Beside, you make it seem like McCain = Obama, and we both know that is not true. Like him or not, McCain/Palin will stir up things in Washington, and I for one, am sick of the idiot congress and their shenanigans.
I went from apathetic to fired up in one day. I sent McCain 100 bucks last night and plan to send more. This isn’t just about having a good VP, this is about putting a true conservative in the spotlight and ending the constant apologies for what we believe in. She, and conservatives like her are the only way we will take Washington back from the socialist Dems.
