This is a brutal poll for Obama. It was taken of adult Americans. Not just registered voters or likely voters. Imagine what the numbers are for those and you can see a train wreck in the making.

That an utter disaster for Obama. Likely voter poll always are more Republican freindly then anyone polls. Espcially bad since CNN has a history of over sampling Dems and weekend polling usually leans left.
BAD news but McCain can still screw it up. His VP pick matters.

Street Thug and Butt Plug are scrambling for some good news, but I really hope they don't hear any.
I am convinced that anything bad for them is good for Americans everywhere.

Biden did garner 0 delegates and 2,328 Iowa votes 1% 5th place in his presidential run.
With numbers like that, the Obama-Biden team should be formidable. [/s]

Going into the Dem convention in a year when the GOP is in bad shape, Obama should have a comfortable lead.
Obama made an audacious choice in Joe Biden and he just might pay a high price for doing so.

Gergen: Not much credence should be given to the latest CNN poll in light of the fact that the poll is a weekend poll and the "younger voters" for Obama aren't home.

This is REALLY GOOD NEWS - thanks for the analysis as well! I'm so glad that it seems some people are really waking up! Looks like Obama's "hopenosis" is weakening! LOL
I only hope that Hillary doesn't pull any punches in Denver, and that he is really the one McCain will be up against.

Which means that McCain probably leads Obama by five points. People are starting to pay attention, which is very bad news for Obama. If he is still tied after the convention, they're going to have to pull a “Toricelli”.

The only poll I truly trust and is pretty accurate over past 8 years is survey usa..even when I don’t like results I trust their results. I used to trust gallup until they gave Kerry 2 extra points in their last poll. They had it right then decided to give kerry 2 points for some weird explanation..They were wrong of course

Since it’s after Biden was named, it means the poll is entirely done on weekend.

Wait until tomorrow night when Michelle Obama tells us why we should hate America! She’s more arrogant than her husband.
I’m sure that will go over well.
And did I hear correctly that Chelsea Clinton is also going to speak? Should we rename this convention the Clinton Convention instead of the Democrat Convention?

Many years ago I heard Rush refer to Biden as “Joe Biden-Pants”. Does anyone remember that and what he was referring to?
