You’re pathetic. You’ve been here for over six years and you still don’t know what FR is all about.

If you support a liberal like Romney, expect conservatives to challenge you. Period.

Just relax and let it happen.

Ahh... Putin's words to Georgia. This would be about as pleasant as that outcome.

Because people don't vote for the VP. Only political junkies and the media really even care.

Ya. Well they're going to vote for the VP's this year I guarantee. On both the Dems and Repubs. Fact is, majority of the people don't like either McCain or Obama. You have to look to the Veeps for someone to like and who the VP's are is very important to both sides this election.

If only it was just the abortion issue! I tend to think he might be pro-life now.

But there are so many other issues,

Lies about NRA endorsements.

Lifelong hunter, lifelong member of the NRA.

Dissing Reagan.

Trying to out-gay Ted Kennedy in ‘94.

Supporting climate change legislation in New England and then backing out when he decided to run for President,

His record of appointing liberals to the courts in MA.

Supporting the amnesty bill, then he says he is against it, then gets caught with illegals in his front yard.

I could go on and on...

Last but not least, donating money to Planned Parenthood.

Romney will bring money, electoral votes and he’s telegenic.

He’ll bring Michigan and small business owners because he walks the walk.

Just jump on the bandwagon. It is futile to resist.

You’re right EEE, it wouldn’t pass. It wouldn’t because there is no way the liberals in congress would allow a cushion of private coverage to dash their hopes forever for gov’t run healthcare.

Reagan was still the oldest. In January 1985 he was nearly 74

Except Reagan assumed the Presidency four years earlier.

Glad to hear that but we seem to be at an impasse over VP. I’d be thrilled with Tom Coburn but that is slim. Romney is the best on balance to hope for. And he brings a lot to the table in my book. You can’t judge “chops” through an ideological prism either. That is where you may be missing it.

And/but:

NY Times: “People close to the [McCain] campaign also floated a wild-card choice, Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top American commander in Iraq.”

Since when? 2005, 2006, 2007? And where will Romney be on abortion, 5-10 years down the road?

Duncan Hunter would be fine with me. Tom Coburn too.

Once again, I have to ask, where was all the “energy” for Romney in the primaries? Nowheresville.
