You’re right EEE, it wouldn’t pass. It wouldn’t because there is no way the liberals in congress would allow a cushion of private coverage to dash their hopes forever for gov’t run healthcare.

All of this is starting to get old real quick. Romney has been thoroughly vetted and his record and religion scrutinized under a Hubble telescope. If the man has realized he was wrong on abortion and reached out to conservatives in the primaries, and his religion is simply an x-variable to the point of being a non-factor, then I don’t understand what the fuss is. Romney, in my opinion, would be a fool to be a liberal again. Granted, I’m holding out faint hope McCain chooses a staunch conservative, but if it’s Romney, it’s still not the end of the world. Not only would McCain-Romney wipe the floor with Obama and whoever he chooses, but some GOP seats in Congress would be salvaged as well.
