Mitt Romney will be the VP and eventually the Pres.

Just give into it and accept it.

Well sorry sincerely. That’s the way it works. Let’s be honest: no one and I mean NO one turns everyone’s crank. There will always be some who will not have their cranks turned (sounds kinda screwey doesn’t it?). You get my point...

We are looking for the guy who turns the most though.

One word, ROMNEYCARE!

Any Romneycare scheme would have to go through Congress anyway. I don't think it'll pass.

Romney is no conservative. He remains a phony and a fraud.

He's far more conservative and pro-life than Lieberman, Giuliani, Ridge, etc. I would prefer McCain choose Palin, Rounds, or Duncan Hunter for VP.

Me thinks, you've lost your mind.

FRee Republic remains a conservative forum. We oppose all forms of liberalism and all liberals. Including your precious, Willard the Myth.

Again, I'm not influenced by radio talk show hosts. And I'm impressed by anyone who betrays their conservative principles. There was a huge thread back in April 2007 that spoke to that exact issue. Many FReepers didn't like being challenged. They're no longer members of FR.

My sentiments exactly. Romney is a great leader and a solid conservative.

It is a matter of life and death. It isn't an issue that can be negotiated. It is life and death. What else is there?

I agree. It is a matter of life and death. Obama believes in killing babies and has no respect for life.

His father abandoned him, his mother abandoned him, he has no center point in his life to guide him, just his megalomania coached by Chicago pols. He had no love so he just loves himself.

If Obama is elected we endanger our already born children and the countless ones that will (hopefully) come after them. Obama is dangerous

Well he certainly didn’t pick Romney to get my vote. I am just wondering exactly whose vote he was trying to get by exciting them with Romney. Ain’t gonna be a lot of people.

-- If any politician cannot stand up for the unborn, and thinks it is OK for them to be aborted, well that is it for me. --

I'm radically pro-life, but I don't expect politicians to be in charge of "fixing it." Especially not the politicians who enforce and propose law.

And even if they were "in charge," I doubt they could change hearts and minds. At bottom, most politicians are dishonest, self-serving, lying hacks. They say whatever it takes to obtain election.

Romney will be VP.

I find it hard to believe that anyone with any common since would let someone like Obama any where near the oval office and pick the next Supreme Court justices. That would set your desired goals back for decades to come.

If McCain has no more common sense than to pick Romney, how can we trust him to select Justices that are any better than Obama's selections?

Who said I don’t have a candidate?

I want to defeat Obama. I just want a conservative to join the moderate mavarick McCain. That is the best chance the GOP has of winning. Romney is a loser.

Oh for crying out loud will you people who are fanatic about not having a pro choice VP please knock it off!

No. We will not "knock it off". We are not intimidated by the likes of moral relativists like yourself.

We want a VP who will help win the election and who in case of the unthinkable could step in for the president.

That, my FRiend is why he MUST be pro-life!

Romney is tried and tested. Frankly most of the other names floated around are not.

Exactly. And he is strong and articulate in speeches, debates, and interviews. And hardly anyone would say he is not presidential in his bearing, ability, and experience.

Almost none of the above is true of Palin, Pawlenty, Cantor and the rest. Jindal may be a special case because he is so brilliant ... but he is still awfully green.

Romney's not my favorite guy, but at least I wouldn't have to hold my breath every time he opens his mouth during the campaign and the debate.
