I will ping you to the thread when McCain announces his choice.
It won’t be Mitt.
He isn’t that stupid.

I understand where you are coming from. I just think you are wrong about Mitt on this issue. Please do not forget the Supreme Court.

Romney doesn’t turn my crank if this is true.

    Romney is a dog, period.
After Thompson and Hunter withdrew, it didn’t matter.
Rudy McRomney has never been a FReeper favorite and never will be.

    No use fighting this.
Romney for VP.
Money, Electoral votes, business acumen, he is all that he can be.

Funny Romney led in the popular conservative vote when he dropped out. I'd love to see where you got those numbers.

Actually, Mr. Romney started his PAC right after he dropped out of the Presidential race as well.

if Virginia is at risk, picking Romney seals it in the Obama column and hurts in many more traditionally In any case, it's doubtful Obama picks off Virginia.

Yes you must. You’re only fooling yourself if you don’t. By the way McCain’s running a campaign not a kubuki theater. That self-flaggelation stuff doesn’t work in politics. So let’s get serious.

    Romney will be VP.
Some even believe it to be foreordained.

I will throw the “B” word out because I’ve seen it blatantly expressed in some threads about Mitt - but not in this one - yet.
I lived in MA while he was Gov. He’s no liberal. He was dealing with a wacko legislature and he did pretty damn well.
The abortion issue - The best you and others can do is accuse him of changing his mind. I believe him and common sense says that there’s no going back for him. If he did, he would be dead politically. Regardless, I believe he changed his mind personally and not just politically,

You don’t have anything to worry about. Mitt doesn’t want to turn your crank.

Reagan was still the oldest. In January 1985 he was nearly 74, almost 2 years older than McCain now.

McCain was my last choice for the R’s. Mitt was my 3rd. I’ll vote Republican.
