Things Are Getting Rough Out There
From McCain spokesman Brian Rogers, in response to the Obama campaign's new offensive on John McCain's houses:
Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people cling to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about whos in touch with regular Americans?
The reality is that Barack Obamas plans to raise taxes and opposition to producing more energy here at home as gas prices skyrocket show hes completely out of touch with the concerns of average Americans.

Speaking of Rezko and shady deals, trying Rezko’s terrorist fundraising for Syria in with Obama’s Mideast policy advisor’s culvert Mideast policy meeting with Syrian officials during Obama’s Magical Mideast Mystery tour shouldn’t be too hard, either.

Brian, please allow me to add to your statement.
Does a guy who's never worn the uniform of this Great Country think for a second that any (any) kind of tough talk will scare John McCain? (Naval Academy grad, Naval Aviator, POW, career Navy then career Congress.) Does a guy who potty-mouths his own country to little kids but doesn't remember how many states we have (incredibly, he said 57) and who would rather go to a gym for a workout than to visit wounded U.S. troops in a nearby hospital have ideas for "change" that could possibly be for our good?
The Dems are not used to responses like this coming from the candidate or his campaign. They'll not care if the response comes from Limbaugh or Hannity or another GOP office holder, but we haven't seen this since "There you go again!" The key for McCain is to keep the right tone.Don't get whiny or too angry and always have a better allegation ready to respond.
Great comeback! I’m a little confused about why houses are an issue? Dosn’t BO understand that many in the middle class like me might own more than one house, it’s called an investment. Yes lets talk about Rezko the Syrian!
The entire Congress (including McCain) is out of touch with the concerns of us little people.
If John McCain does choose Mitt Romney as his VP, then everybody can debate how many houses do BOTH John McCain and Mitt Romney have!
House thanks to Tony Rezko and a sweetheart book deal for Barry and a very high paying job hospital for Michelle.
UPDATE to Byron York’s post on “housing”
Housing War [Byron York]
Democrats are in full-court-press mode on this McCain house thing. In the last few minutes, I’ve gotten an email from the Obama press operation citing a Joe Klein blog entry on the matter; a long “McCain Watch” email from the DNC entitled, “How Many Houses, Sen. McCain?”; a “Politifact” email from the DNC pointing out that the McCains own seven houses; an email from the Obama campaign pointing out a Talking Points Memo pointing out the Democrats anti-McCain offensive on the house issue; an email from the DNC drawing attention to Tim Kaine’s statement on the subject today; and, just seconds ago, a “House Hunting, Anyone?” email from the DNC.
Meanwhile, NRO readers are sending in a lot of comments, too. Some predict and I would be this is a pretty good prediction that the 47 year-old Obama will own more than one house by the time he is 71 years old. And then there was the reader email with the subject line “How McCain should defuse the house issue:
It’s really quite simple. Sen. McCain should offer to house Barack’s little brother George, thus fulfilling [America’s greatest moral failing] embodied in Matthew, “What you do to the least of these,” etc.

They were too busy broadcasting Kerry's military heroics.
BRING IT ON, OBAMA! LET’S PARTY!
Rush is having fun with this now - loving every minute!
Bingo!
