Hello FR friend. Kathy asked for prayers for you,I would also like to tell you YOU are not alone. Everyone at some time in their life need to be right where you are because it is those times we seek to find our soul and learn our most valuable lessons. You say God has been your rock yet now that too feels shaken, I say to you my friend read this.... Footprints in the sand
My precious,precious child,I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
I believe your life is unique and so is everyone elses. I believe there is no right and wrong to ones feelings as those feelings are their own,no one has to understand them they just have to listen.
I hope this helps to know there are people out there who really do care enough to say so.
I will pray for your strenght to heal and in your doing so you will then give strenght to others.

Hi Kathy and others,

It's Sat morning and I'm overwhelmed by the replies. Words cannot describe my gratitude and the prayers and comments touched my heart. Amazing how people I have never met can offer more compassion in my time of need than anyone I know.

Tough evening as I discovered a woman who I thought was a dear friend (and more) was not. It caused me to reflect on the many, many betrayals esp from family. HAving been a Christian in a family of aethiests is quite the experience.

It's been very hard at times to accept that trusting in people to do what's right is not prudent so perhaps it's best to become less optimistic re: all people?

So a sincere and heartfelt "Thanks" for the thoughts and prayers - it's good to know the "FRiends" here are sincere.

Thanks again everyone - it's been awhile since I've felt any warmth & compassion from another human....even though this is all electronic warmth.

Jim

PS: I don't know how to reply to more than one freeper - hope y'all see this.

When I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, I find Psalm 91 comforting. Especially the part about being lifted up by angels.

Blue Letter Bible
King James Version
Psalm 91

1 ¶ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;
6 [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Thanks for posting this Psalm - a very good reminder when the weight becomes a burden. I am simply overwhelmed that people I don’t know care enough to offer help and encouragement - it’s tough being on an island...
