I had several conversations with these offices yesterday. They NEED to hear from us.
WE WANT THE BOEHNER BILL!
1) The House (Republican and Dem) has heard the people and know that this is the bill we want.
2) The Senate (this may be a surprise to some) actually represents the EXACT same people the House does! (amazing isn't it)
3) PREGO! yes, PREGO! It's in there! Boehner's Bill includes renewables, solar, wind, nuclear, AND drilling.
4) We don't want "something done" for the sake of "getting something done." WE WANT A SOLUTION!
5) If ANYTHING needs to added to the Boehner bill it is this, we need to allow drilling without interference of baseless lawsuits from anti-progress, anti-independence yahoos.
6) If BOEHNER'S BILL is not able to pass the Senate- then let the PEOPLE see that the Republicans offered solutions, and the Dems BAWKED!
7) If nothing gets passed-- well, the sunset on the congressional moretoreum will expire and then.......
LET THE DRILLING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!

I bet it did. My kids bought a camper and set it up on a campground by a lake. No gas problems there. But if you like travelling, it can really put a quench to it. It’s all ridiculous. The price of oil affects everything we do.

When you’re desperate, it’s better to abandon false rhetoric like this and just acknowledge the truth.
But if all you want to do is reveal the fact that you probably have a hidden agenda, start telling people how much they know or don’t know, and throw in some personal insults while you’re at it.

Besides being in cahoots with Pelosi, CLNE - a T. Boone Pickens offshoot - is the sponsor for Proposition 10 on the CA ballot. CLNE will get some big money from CA to develop TBP’s energy policies. Also, he is in line for permanent federal subsidies.
Nancy baby is a BIG stockholder in both endeavors.

This is something that EVERY Reepublican candidate up for election/re-election should be running on—a vote for a Democrat will keep Nancy in power and keep the people’s house from working!
Not to argue the construction timeframe, but do you think Shell's $1B budget had anything to do with it? And then they spike in 5 years, and now barely run at 28% capacity. All with little promise of moving.
You make the call. Do you commit your company to a $1,000,000,000 investment, based on your political hope the Dems cave to ANWAR. Or even the Dakotas. Or unlimited GOM.
This is per rig BTW. At peak 80,000 to 100,000 bpd, how many do we need?
Without commitments, or at least strong indicies, how much of your company assets will you put in motion, or at least on "standby" ?
BTW, opening up limited GOM testing has dropped crude $30. Opening up other "famous" drilling areas will crush the price, (good for the consumer !!), but making the $1B investment payback a bit harder to reach.
I agree, Drill Here, Drill Now !, but let's set realistic expectations.

I was simply trying to make the point that one of the largest platforms in the GOM was produces so quickly. Smaller rigs and platforms can easily be produced for less money in similar amounts of time.
Just called Nancy Pelosi’s office. Her voice mail was on. She’s only taking comments from constituencies of her district, and requires a name and address for each comment. Mrs. Pelosi is currently not available, and not responsive to the public in her capacity as speaker.

And your point on timeframe is a very valid one. And one that I agree with. My question is, at what cost, and ROI timeframe.
I don’t think it’s a question of what these companies CAN do, but what their WILLING to do.
