Be sure to READ THIS!!

New FTC Rule Could Apply To Pelosi

BEHOLD the Power of the People, and the Power of

Nancy: "most open, most honest, and most ethical Congress in history"

Nancy: "and Democrats promise to work together in a bi-partisan way for all Americans."

What is the truth about Nancy?

"Madam Speaker has a substantial amount of money invested in Clean Energy Fuels Corporation." dontgo

"T Boone Pickens runs CLNE, this is the company Nancy has invested in, and apparently, the push is Natural Gas, which is the focus of the $5 billion in Ca. tax money and $5 billion in fed money they are seeking."

From the same article:

"the investors in this ponzi scheme are banking on keeping the price of energy high, keeping the supply of domestic oil low on the basis of “environmental concerns”, and getting the government to invest BILLIONS in their plans, which will concentrate energy resources into fewer hands while making them all filthy rich."

"Only 20% of Americans now oppose offshore drilling.." Rasmussen

We have THREE DEMANDS for both the House AND the Senate! (call both House and Senate offices)

1) Congress MUST STOP PROTECTING Nancy's purse, get back to Washington, DC and vote on the American Energy Act!

2) Begin an IMMEDIATE investigation into CLNE, Pelosi, and other investors!

3) Demand that the Broadcaster Freedom Act be brought to the floor for a vote!

MELT THE LINES TODAY FOLKS!!!

As for the Gang of 10.

I had several conversations with these offices yesterday. They NEED to hear from us.

WE WANT THE BOEHNER BILL!

1) The House (Republican and Dem) has heard the people and know that this is the bill we want.

2) The Senate (this may be a surprise to some) actually represents the EXACT same people the House does! (amazing isn't it)

3) PREGO! yes, PREGO! It's in there! Boehner's Bill includes renewables, solar, wind, nuclear, AND drilling.

4) We don't want "something done" for the sake of "getting something done." WE WANT A SOLUTION!

5) If ANYTHING needs to added to the Boehner bill it is this, we need to allow drilling without interference of baseless lawsuits from anti-progress, anti-independence yahoos.

6) If BOEHNER'S BILL is not able to pass the Senate- then let the PEOPLE see that the Republicans offered solutions, and the Dems BAWKED!

7) If nothing gets passed-- well, the sunset on the congressional moretoreum will expire and then.......

LET THE DRILLING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!

Call the "Gang"

Lindsey Graham

John Thune

Saxby Chambliss

Bob Corker

Johnny Isakson

HERE is the House Bill

HERE is the "press release" from our "Gang"

No matter WHAT excuse or explanation they give you. You tell them- WE WANT THE HOUSE BILL- THERE IS NO NEED FOR GANGS! NONE! THIS IS WHAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT!

But the process doesn’t begin with ordering a platform for a new area. It begins many years before that. You don’t order platforms until you discover oil then analyze the quality and quantity of the oil and make economic decisions.

I know that, however, the issue is the length of time to build a platform the size of Brutus, deliver it to the site and produce oil and gas. See my original post 115 for clarity of the issue.

“””it will be 10 years or more for the new oil to come to market to do any good,” ... .”

I hope they keep saying it. Every time it comes out of their mouth one more person gets infuriated.

How long did it take the Brutus Platform to start producing from it's planning stage?

The planning stage starts long before the decision to order a platform. It begins with the lease for the area.

This company produces modular platforms which don't require years of advance planning. They do have other clients and manufacturing facilities around the globe. The question was how long did it take Brutus to produce oil/gas from the planning stage. In the article you posted, it states that this was the first major platform produced by Shell's deepwater services group. The services group was established in 1999. The platform was completed 7 months ahead of schedule and 18% under budget and it was producing in July of 2001. This issue was in regard to building rigs or platforms, not leases or exploration.

Check my link above and you will see that it only took 11 months to fabricate this platform.

Sorry, it took 13 months to build it. (My higher math for the day)

The drilling rigs that are all tied up and not available are those that are drilling in deep water. Some rigs are drilling in 7000+ feet of water 200 miles offshore. These are the leases that will not yield a drop of oil for 10 years. Lets see how many rigs we can put in service in 200 ft deep water and 5-10 miles from shore. Lets see how many rigs we can get operational in the federal lands in CO, MT, ND. Lets see how many rigs we can get operation if Congress suspends the enviromental challenges to drilling. I wonder how many jobs can be created and how many dollars in royalties can be paid to the State. There would be a loss of a few lawyer jobs though. Keep pushing Drill Here, Drill Now and Pay Less. E-mail your friends to get up on the Hill and support the Republicans on the floor of the House.

You created your own issue from a discussion of how long it takes to bring oil to market. You are deceiving people if you only talk about the time to build a platform. There is far more to the process.

It would be helpful if folks stopped thinking about oil as the source of fuel for their cars, and started thinking of it as being connected to everything.

Nancy is something else. I don’t care if she wants natural gas, that’s fine, but drill for oil and all the other alternatives. Let’s REALLY get independent. I hope Congress investigates Pickens and Pelosi. (Chirp, chirp...)

Ours here has actually gone down to around $3.89. Quite a drop. Wonder why yours is going up?

Exactly. We should have done it years ago but Clintoon put a stop to it. Said it would take 10 years. Well, it’s been 13 years and we’re still not drilling. Gee, thanks Mr. Clinton.

"You created your own issue from a discussion of how long it takes to bring oil to market."

Why yes, I did.

"You are deceiving people if you only talk about the time to build a platform."

Nope. It was a simple question.

"There is far more to the process."

I already agreed to that. My family was in the oil business for a long time and drilled a lot of wells. That was a long time ago and most were shallow wells, but this issue I "created" was in regard to building this monster platform.

Please understand that I don’t say — at all! — that nothing should be done about Bela Pelosi and her gratitously corrupt existence. I merely think that, shall we say, more, er, vigourous actions are warranted than bending Regresscritters’ staffs’ ears.

I have no clue.

We were in Ohio this weekend. We paid 3.59 in Toledo. By the time we got home, we were seeing 3.75.

Today it’s 3.89.

With crude at 116.00, a drop from 140.00 one would think the gas would drop too. I’m thinking, after Labor Day.
