ABC Radio news just announced Sen. John Edwards will admit to the affair with Rielle Hunter in an interview with the network, but insists the child is not his.

While I feel sorry for Edwards children, his wife is to blame in the slimy episode as well.
The Edwards state Mrs. Edwards knew about the affair in 2006.
She said nothing about it when he accepted the “Father of Year” award in 2007 and and backed him up twice by denying it when the National Enquirer reported the story.
Elizabeth Edwards is as much a liar as John Edwards.
Additionally, who does Elizabeth blame for the scandal?
Why the media of course.
“Our family has been through a lot. Some caused by nature, some caused by human weakness, and some – most recently – caused by the desire for sensationalism and profit without any regard for the human consequences. None of these has been easy. But we have stood with one another through them all. Although John believes he should stand alone and take the consequences of his action now, when the door closes behind him, he has his family waiting for him.
“John made a terrible mistake in 2006. The fact that it is a mistake that many others have made before him did not make it any easier for me to hear when he told me what he had done. But he did tell me. And we began a long and painful process in 2006, a process oddly made somewhat easier with my diagnosis in March of 2007.
“This was our private matter, and I frankly wanted it to be private because as painful as it was I did not want to have to play it out on a public stage as well. Because of a recent string of hurtful and absurd lies in a tabloid publication, because of a picture falsely suggesting that John was spending time with a child it wrongly alleged he had fathered outside our marriage, our private matter could no longer be wholly private.
“The pain of the long journey since 2006 was about to be renewed.
“John has spoken in a long on-camera interview I hope you watch. Admitting one’s mistakes is a hard thing for anyone to do, and I am proud of the courage John showed by his honesty in the face of shame. The toll on our family of news helicopters over our house and reporters in our driveway is yet unknown. But now the truth is out, and the repair work that began in 2006 will continue. I ask that the public, who expressed concern about the harm John’s conduct has done to us, think also about the real harm that the present voyeurism does and give me and my family the privacy we need at this time.”

The fact CNN has this as “breaking” is 100% laughable and only demonstrates the Old Media is no longer the dominant real media for true information.

Let’s see if all the assertions pouring forth now from John and Elizabeth Edwards can be substantiated, such as claims that the affair ended in 2006, that the baby is not his, etc.
Why was he visiting his (former??) mistress surreptitiously late at night in a Beverly Hills hotel just a couple of weeks ago?? Is the photo of a man holding the baby really him? Looks like him...... Surely people do not make secret late-night visits to a former mistress in a hotel room just to play with someone else’s illegitimate baby....
How has this mistress been paid and supported from the time they met onward, what are the sources of funds, luxury homes in gated communities, etc.?
Since this may well involve campaign dollars, possible tax fraud, etc. there is plenty to be investigated and exposed before we allow them to say “old news, move on”

they just had the editor of National Enquire on Hannity and Colmes and he said she is being housed in a 3 million dollar mansion.
The guy who is saying he is the father is also receiving large amounts of money.
NE also said that this woman believes she is going to be married to Edwards some day.
I wonder what all his campaign contributors are thinking tonight.

Ok, I am starting to have my sympathy for Mrs. Edwards slip a little.
Does this woman not realize he was in his mistress’ hotel week last week? At midnight?
Is she blind, or stupid or both? She acts as if he just had a whoopsie and a one night stand. There is a real good possibility that this woman’s child is her husbands.

FNC just had a clip of her interview and the mistress was saying “edwards is open to new ideas” I wonder if his “new ideas” are the same kind of ideas that forced the former NY governor’s prostitute to take a train rather than go through airport security scanners.
