Yep, my money is on 5:50
This was aired on July 28th 2008
I certainly think so. The party in power should not control what is seen and heard. Lamb that runs C-Span is against C-Span being the only outlet.
I think you jogged my brain, LUV W; it was Mike Pence who was on Fox & Friends early this morning! I’m not a morning person so I wasn’t fully awake. :) That’s my excuse anyway. Thought I’d remember it because it was so easy. Well, nearly 9 hours later isn’t too bad...
WOW! That’s a fascinating tidbit- thanks for passing it on.
Perhaps we could all get together as citizens and file some kind of formal charge against her for violating the Constitution. I must admit dumb in this area since I have no idea if we could do such a thing. Anyone know?
Apparently not:
History of the Free Library of Philadelphia: Initiated by the efforts of Dr. William Pepper, the Free Library of Philadelphia was chartered in 1891 as "a general library which shall be free to all." Pepper received initial funding for the Library through a $225,000 bequest from his wealthy uncle, George S. Pepper. However, litigation arose as several existing libraries claimed the bequest. The Free Library finally opened in March of 1894 after the courts decided the money was intended to found a new public library. (emphasis added)Oooooh. Charter violation!!! I thought it might be. Yank the library from it's current operating board and give it to the Philadelphia Boy Scouts!!!
I think its ridiculous that we could bypass Congress in order to amend the Constitution with just a 2/3 majority vote, but we can’t get this Energy Act voted on. You’d think this would be easier.
No, only in the Court of Public Opinion could SanFranNan be skewered for her pledge of bipartisanship and no tricks, which we all knew was used food the moment it cleared her plastic lips.
So you think Bush should continue doing nothing like he has the past 3 years so we can win another election and go on doing more nothing? First of all, Republican’s don’t win elections when they do nothing. Second, if Pelosi though she sould publicly make the argument against drilling successfully, she wouldn’t be trying to prevent a vote.
Sheez, if Bush can’t make a public case on an issue with almost 80% public support, he is the most ineffective President ever.
FYI about Nancy’s new book - I’ve been seeing and reading how the negative reviews are getting scrubbed on Amazon.com
Well, wouldn’t you know, her husband,Paul Pelosi owns shares of stock on Amazon.com. At least he used to. I found this little (dated) gem at SFgate.com
Dated June 2004. Now I do want to remind everyone this is OLD news and perhaps the Pelosi’s no longer have an interest in Amazon.com
Anyway, here’s an excerpt from an article about how WEALTHY the DEMS in the Bay Area were at that time.
“Miscellaneous: Paul Pelosi also owns commercial property in San Francisco and San Anselmo valued at $5 million to $25 million. He also has major stock holdings that include $250,000 to $500,000 in shares of Amazon.com and Alliance Gaming Corp., which makes slot machines, and $100,000 to $250,000 of shares in Microsoft and Comcast. “
I thought it was interesting and didn’t know where else to post it.
Is this possible..there’s got to be a few folks here that know?!?
" Separation of Powers would say that neither the Executive or Judicial branch can interfere.
Funny how they always seem to use that to their own advantage.
Just wow.
Very interesting. I remember reading that one while I was at work (shhhh, don’t tell).
