I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
A running tally would be a neat reminder to them who wish to delay the inevitable...
I bet the price of oil goes up $10 a barrel before the middle of next week...
And we were doing so well in getting it down to this point this week...I heard its around $124 a barrel...

I paid $3.34 on Sooner Road today about five miles south of Tinker AFB. When I heard this on Rush, I figured I had better fill up with the Dems going home with NO action taken.
This was a crowning moment for us and for the GOP. If we can keep this momentum alive we can win in Nov!!
The DBM will try its best to lose any footage of this day at all and pretend like it never happened. It will be up to us to keep things boiling.
Once the population discovers just how much is at stake with our energy security they will demand drilling in Anwar and elsewhere.
In Anwar alone the stakes are unbelievable for the country. We have a pipeline only 80 miles or less from Anwar that once produced 2 million barrels per day. It is in decline. Today it produces 700,000 barrel of crude per day. If it gets to 300,000 it will be shut down. The pipeline just won;t work with less than 300,000 barrels per day. This can be prevented with fast track legislation on Anwar. The US needs to know this, we need to get the word out.
Yeah, some people were getting ready to drive hundreds of miles to show support. I didn’t even have time to get in the car after getting home from work.

Down to $3.82 in Central Florida. Perhaps your state bumped taxes on 8/1. Nice time to do that when the price is coming down - people won’t notice unless you are particularly well informed (i.e. a FReeper).
