What the deuce?!
For some, alas, it is too late.
Are you sure this baby isn’t from Quahog, RI?
I wish I knew how to post a picture of “Hey Arnold”
There’s a lot of that going around.
I am glad that the poor little thing could be helped and that he is not going to have any ill effects from this.
This condition is actually fairly common and is one of the tests they give newborns. There is a hormone that is out of whack that causes the plates in the skull to grow incorrectly.
The surgery generally takes about 10 hours and has very significant risks with older children. If your pediatrician is doing their job the problem will be caught by 6 months when the surgery is easier.
My son had this done at 6 months old. They removed every other finger in the center of his skull. The sides of the skull connect together like a zipper and his were already grown shut, so there was no room for growth. They added some sort of human epoxy to fill in the gaps. He is 20 years old now and loves to show off his scar, as he usually has just a stubble of hair on his head. No ill side effects at all. The surgeon who did our son, did it by himself and didn’t need a ton of people to help. They just bandaged him up and said don’t drop him on his head. This doctor had done many before. My son does still have problems with hats, as he usually needs the largest size, but he is a big guy.
We had a kid in school whose head was inordinately larger than the rest of us. Of course his nickname was “Punkin Head”...........
easy enough. Find the html of the jpeg/image you wish to post. Copy the html. Do a “<” “img src” “=” “copied html” “>” and you are good to go.
A American football, or an Aussie football, or heaven forbid a Celtic football?
Laden, or unladen?
Hope the lad has a fast recovery.
