B. Hussein Obama has come and gone on his visit to Jalalabad Air Field in eastern Afghanistan. He landed about 1515 local and was gone by 1800, which is more than enough time for any Democrat to check the Natioanl Defense box, and he is now just as qualified as John McCain to speak on all matters related to Operation Enduring Freedom.
During his visit he toured the Task Force (TF) Bayonet 173rd Brigade (Sky Soldiers!) Headquarters and Tactical Operations Center (TOC).
Well, that's the big news from the front line fellow FReepers. Keep up the fight at home and we'll do our part here.
God Bless, Captain (Now Major) Shamrock

Re your post and all the “ah ah ah’s...”
Priceless! Thanks for the laugh — I now count the “ah’s” and “uh’s” along with the “hopes” and “changes” whenever I am forced to hear Obambi on some MSM news.
Blecchhhh!!!!

I have spent longer waiting in airports.

1800 - 1515 = not even three hours.

Hagel and Jack Reid are his Senate travel buddies. Reid used to go with Hillary so I guess in dem circles, he is considered an expert on the area and policies.

Heard on MSM newsbreaks this morning on radio that Hagel is likely his VP pick.

During the news break for Laura Ingraham’s show last night, they reported ,on Cnn news ,that some female twit reporter said that Obama’s trip will show the world what it’s like to REALLY be respected overseas. I tried to remeber her name but it was very late.

2 hours and 45 minutes.
It probably could have been done quicker, but he had to walk, pulling those 3 fawning anchors* who have grabbed and are holding on to his stride.

I will tell you this; if that happens it confirms to me that we have become or are becoming a de facto single-party country. All the partisan wrangling is mere show to keep us distracted.

We should bear in mind this was only his first stop in this country. He may stay in Kabul for a few days. Most likely it was understood it would be a simple quick photo ops stop.

Two hours and 45 minutes?
That's actually a lot more than he himself probably thinks he needed to spend in Afghanistan. When he already has a predefined and solid and unwavering policy for Afghanistan and Iraq, all he needed to do is view Afghanistand from the air from about 35,000 feet.
The whole trip is for show and tell. He'll now be able to "show" off his foreign policy credentials on YouTube, and he'll be able to "tell" the people about his heavy foreign policy credentials. Heck, just watch; he'll make the claim in his commercials that he's now equal or better than McCain when it comes to his knowledge on foreign policy and defense matters. And the MSM will aid him in making those claims.
