Good luck, Kevin .. show ‘em your stuff.
Thank you for the information!
Kevin, I had looked for you on the Tony Thread. Was wondering
if you were still around. It was a pleasure meeting you when
I was in DC last September...in the rain!
I sure wish I could be there. I was supposed to meet Tony
next month and now..........
BTTT for funeral info in post 2164

You are not alone, LUV!
You should wear your snowflake earrings on Thursday--with a smile on your face--or at least in your heart.
Tony would love that--snowflakes in July!
I will definitely be there in spirit. :-)
GoldwaterChick,
You inspired me a couple of months ago to get my own pair of snowflake earrings. I thought it was a wonderful idea! I planned to wear them on “snow days”. That was right about the time that Tony started having problems. I have never worn them, but I think I will wear them on Thursday in memory of Tony.
I forgot to mention this in my other post....speaking of making one cry...your tagline sure did it to me!
Me too
My oldest sister couldn't listen to Tony on the radio. She said his voice would become hypnotic and she would get lost in it, his voice would drive her to distraction. If she was driving she couldn't pay attention to what she was doing. So yes, he had a dreamy voice.
I saw the “woof” in your tag line and well, here I go again......
Thank you for your lovely message, LadyJ. I picked up my snowflake earrings and had forgotten all about the ones I wear at Christmas. These are really sparkly, very pretty, and my favorites; I thought they were too fancy to wear other times. Changed my mind! :) I’ll be wearing them Thursday.
I’ll be here, dmd25,wearing my earrings, and hopefully I won’t be crying the entire time. Wish we could change the thread then to A Celebration of the Life of Tony Snow. Reading about all his accomplishments and his dedication to everything he did, I would say he lived three lifetimes in one.
What a privilege it was to know him and to see him.
I’m so glad that we can contribute to the fund for his children. I know it would have made him cry to see the outpouring of love for his family, and for him. Getting ready to write our check. I know the response will be phenomenal!
“I’m trying to understand how a man’s death who I never met could knock me for a loop.” Why?
I believe I know. I believe it was Jesus just bubbling out. Yes, I know he was Catholic. However, that Catholic read his Bible. He knew or should have known that if someone added something to the Bible that it was a false gospel. Tony once told a group of people that if they wanted to know the truth, to read this and he held up a Bible.
The 'woof' does it to me, too. For the rest of my life I will think of Tony (and pray for his family) when I see that word (probably even if someone is referring to the sound a dog makes!). :)
A great idea. Maybe it would help us not be so teary!
I will have to see if I have any snowflake earrings someplace---if so, I will wear them Thursday!
President Bush Visits The Snow Family
"Today, (Monday) President George W. Bush visited the home of the late Tony Snow, who passed away on Saturday.
From a pool report just filed by the New York Times' Steven Lee Myers:
After the president made his statement in the Rose Garden, he boarded the motorcade with Laura Bush and departed at 1:23. At one point the presidential limousine, with an escort but in normal traffic because this was an "off the record" trip, pulled beside a Tourmobile but just at the moment most of those aboard seemed concentrated on the Jefferson Memorial. (Can you imagine driving around DC and seeing the president next to you?!)
The motorcade proceeded uneventfully down the George Washington Parkway, drove, stop and go, through Alexandria and passed the Beltway before turning off and winding to the Snow home. The press office asked the pool not to make public the address. The motorcade arrived at 2:10, and the pool is now holding in the vans."
