I’ll be here, dmd25,wearing my earrings, and hopefully I won’t be crying the entire time. Wish we could change the thread then to A Celebration of the Life of Tony Snow. Reading about all his accomplishments and his dedication to everything he did, I would say he lived three lifetimes in one.
What a privilege it was to know him and to see him.
I’m so glad that we can contribute to the fund for his children. I know it would have made him cry to see the outpouring of love for his family, and for him. Getting ready to write our check. I know the response will be phenomenal!
I had dinner tonight with some friends. We talked about Tony and wondered who could fill the void of good cheer that was always Tony. He was one of a kind in the press. There’s no replacing him. But you know what he would be telling us to do!
Now I read this thread and start tearing up again. Darn. Darn.
In late June I emailed Tony, telling him that I was photographing our National Team Trials (basketball) in Washington DC in early July, that I could get him in for a behind the scenes look. It was the first email that he did not answer. sigh.
