Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
I wonder if the President will speak. At any rate, you just know this will be tasteful, start to finish.
Thank you, kristinn!
That makes more sense!
Wish I could attend. I live in the Baltimore area but I have chemo, and I hate dragging that pump around. But I bet it will be beautiful.
Everyone (especially Fox) did such a good job with covering Tony Snow’s death, but i really wish they would have read some more of his more spiritual writings. They were so good, and was really what impressed me and drew me to him especially after reading this one:

If you haven’t read it it really is worth the time.
Maybe at the church they will read some of these. I hope so.
Here is my original message to Tony on this board which solicited his responding (in what turned out to be the last time he posted here)that he was fine. Always upbeat even to the end. Even though he probably wasn’t so fine. It wasn’t that long ago:

Tony Snow...
If you are out there, then you know ..that its sometimes in suffering that we draw closest to our Lord. Im sure you are at peace and are ready for whatever direction the Lord has for you. Im sure everyone is hoping that you pull through, and thats natural, but if you dont, Im confident that God has a purpose for what you are going through and for calling you home early. We dont really know exactly what its going to be like to crossover, but Im sure its just a continuation of the Great Adventure that he has for us. So if His will is for you to stay and your situation to continue to draw others to Him , or if he urgently wants your services in the great beyond, its all in His will.
Im in the same boat as you. Just diagnosed with Colon Cancer with Liver mets in March. Already seen the many blessings that flow. Already experiencing the flow of love and good will in others around me. Its really harder in many ways on our loved ones then it is on us, and Im sure you already know that.
Anyway...God Bless you and your family and those going through this with you. Ill pray for your loved ones..you pray for mine, that God will work His will for them through this.
God Bless
Then from Tony:
I couldnt agree more about Schwarzenegers attitude. Wonderful! Faith is everything, friends, through good or ill...
Thanks so much for your kind thoughts regarding my latest unpleasantness. As often happens, reports of my imminent demise are greatly exaggerated. Ive been fighting a bowel obstruction for the last month, and wont travel until we get it fixed. Hence, the speech cancellations.
Weve embarked on a pretty aggressive course of treatment, and Im on the mend. As for cancer, all the signs are good: Treatments are working, and genetic tests indicate that a new course of treatment has a good chance of real success.
So thanks, as always, for the thoughts and prayers and continue sharing them with each other for others in need (like Jim Rob). I cant tell you what a source of strength and reassurance you are.

This will be my last post on this thread, (wow he got opver 2000 posts !!!) and I wanted to just say how clear it is to me, that a man like Mr. Snow and his love for God and others can be a powerful catalyst for good. And I loved hearing all of the posters here. In life sometimes your faith is often demeaned and it seems like the culture is spurning the kind of faith I think I saw/read in Tony Snow, and in the many posts here. It lifts my heart and makes me feel a strong connection when I read such wonderful faithful posts, and then realizing that there are many out there still who still have the faith of our fathers. It is comforting to me.
Rest in peace Mr. Snow. I haven’t physically written them in, but I will add your wife and kids to my prayer list and think of them daily for you. I will try hard to live the kind of life that you did. I’m sure you have heard these words we all long to hear: Well done thy good and faithful servant...enter into your rest!
RIP Tony Snow
So here I am in tears again. God bless you, Schwarzeneger. I will pray for you, and that I may be more like both you and Tony.
Unlike the Democrat funerals, which inevitably turn into campaign pep rallies (Wellstone) or anti-war, anti-Bush rallies (Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, et. al)...

Thank+you!
From Newsbusters ... the Westboro Baptist CULT is planning on Protesting Tony’s Funeral .. My freeper abilities are limited and need to get this out
I wonder as well. And you’re right .. everything
will be done with the perfect dignity and class he
so richly deserves. Have you heard if it will be
televised?
She was very patient with me spending almost a whole I think Friday afternoon teaching me various HTML codes.
You were very patient that afternoon :o)
No, I haven't, but we will keep our eyes open.
Wonderful news, dmd25. What a wonderful tribute to Tony, to be able to help take care of his family in a meaningful way. As we all know, Tony’s family was everything to him. I believe the response will be awesome—a blizzard of love for our Snowman!
For all those who are interested, here is the Tony trust information.
Thanks, gwilhelm. The word has gone to all of the right people and they are on it.
I love it!!!! A great phrase, GC! Of course it made me cry again, but that is ok. (Am also listening to Hannity who is airing a long interview he had with Tony...whew...so good, but sad to hear his voice.)
Thanks Bahbah! I have copied the address and will send a check tomorrow. I will also enclose a note for Jill and the children, which I assume will be passed on.
Thanks, Bahbah. Can you ping the SnowFlakes? I don’t have the list. Or should I ask Dinasour to do so?
