Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
Maybe not yet. But I sent a note to SurferBoy if he could please point me in the right direction.

I made an additional donation to FR in Tony’s name but will gladly step up to the plate again for a trust fund for the family.
I bet there is a fund somewhere already and if someone finds out where please ping me.

Also, if there is something set up, I wouldn't be surprised that we hear something this week when the plans are made known for the funeral. (Still can't believe we are talking about this...)

I will say though that establishing such funds is not that difficult and can be done is such a way that concerns about loon invasions can be minimized, if not eliminated.
So let’s see what we can find out and take it from there.
I agree .. this was the sadest news .. and everytime Fox mentioned it .. I started crying again.
Then ..... I remembered a statement Tony made the day after he left the WH as Press Secretary .
I think it was someone from Fox who was interviewing Tony .. and they ask him if he had any advice for the GOP .. he paused a moment and then he said:
“THE DEMOCRATS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS”.
Since Tony was always known for his integrity and candor .. I wish every republican would take this message to heart and realize that reaching across the isle is fruitless. The message it sends to the democrats is ...... WE SURRENDER to the democrat way of doing things.
We must remember .. to the democrats - the word “BI-PARTISANSHIP” doesn’t mean they will cooperate with us .. it means - the republicans must surrender to the democrats’ way of doing things.
I pray our presumptive nominee will finally get the message: THE DEMOCRATS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS.

What a beautiful, perfect idea! Whether one is already started or we need to figure out how to start one...it is the perfect way to honor Tony and the the people he loved most in this world.

That’s a GREAT idea, SL....I don’t have a clue about setting one up, but more than eager to participate with whatever I can spare to help his family.
I would gladly contribute to such a fund.
This morning when I awoke, my first thought was of that promo that his radio show used to use....
The very deep-voiced man:
“What would we all do without the Snow Man?” My second thought was that today we have to begin to learn.
I always listened to the show on the webstream, (when it wasn’t broken) and that show had the very best bumper music.
What a man, what a life, what an inspiration. Tony will be so sorely missed.

Hey, I know what you mean. I have a satellite radio which I used to hear him (since on dial-up his show was incomprehensible).
I haven’t used satellite radio since he went to the White House.

I would love to hear that show music again...you are right--it was the best, but so was Tony.
