Newsweek turned heads with a poll two weeks ago touting a massive 15-point lead for Obama. Their newest survey has heads turning in the other direction, showing Obama's lead dwindling to just 3 points over McCain:
Obama 44 (-7) McCain 41 (+5) Undecided 15 (+2)
In the Newsweek poll, Obama's support among Republicans and Democrats was basically unchanged, but his support among Independents dropped 14 points, to 34% from 48% two weeks ago.
McCain increased his support among Republicans by five points (to 83% from 78%) and among Independents by five points (to 41% from 36%).

I can't stand to hear him talk anymore. I though Hitlery's voice and style was irritating but I think he is worse and that's hard for me to say because I detest Hitlery.
I have a big problem with this also. Sounds wimpy and unsure. Needs some lessons for sure.
“McCain is going to be the next President of this great USA.”
Kissing your sister after nearly falling off a cliff into the abyss....
Not if the dhimmocRATS can get by with their fraud voters and we all know they do with the help of ACORN and many others. They will pay people, they will bus those people. No end to what they will do.
Good News! At this rate, November will be a Republican blowout.
Yeah McCain isn’t Reagan but when he is on his game talking fiscal responsibility or defending the military he is very good. McCain needs to stick to his strengths. Obama is wearing thin. He long ago reached his peak. The only question is will McCain choose a good VP and will McCain learn to be comfortable in letting loose on Obama. It will happen. Obama is just too flawed to win if he does it will be because McCain lost.
Yeah I know what you mean. Obama once you hear him several times he really gets just gets smaller and smaller. It is really the incredibly shrinking Obama and I think Independents are starting to show this effect as they are pealing off Obama in the latest polls. I’d caution anyone who is following the polls because there are a lot of people who still are not engaged. John McCain was just a blip on the last primary races , it was liberal verses liberal. As the contract between McCain and Obama becomes more apparent we will see the same phenomenon that we have seen in the past when people realize what a liberal is.
dont trust this poll
you know the dumicrats moto
vote early and often
There are always Republicans that vote for Democrat. Here is an old story about Kerry Republicans and we know how that turned out.

Obama was a NOBODY before this presidential election cycle. All of a sudden he's the Golden Boy with the media accolades, the fawning talking heads, the zooming ratings.......and for what? He's wet behind the ears and a dozen other Democrats, going by sheer years in the trenches, qualified more than he did.
McCain was in the terlet....campaign broke, crappy ratings, going nowhere. Romney was the star on the Republican side. All of a sudden McCain is the golden boy, Romney fades into the woodwork like the school jock just took his date, and McCain is THE MAN.
What the hell happened? Neither of them deserved where they are today, yet it's like someone did the I Dream of Jeannie blink and they're magically in the lead.
If this last six months doesn't convince you that forces other than voters are pulling the strings, nothing will.
Add to the mess , OBama was a community organizer for ACCORN !
...or they are Republicans with no access to the internet.
Or they are just stupid.
Looks like the “magic” is wearing off of B. Hussein!
Heh heh.
There is that. LOL
That first poll was out of line with every other poll. I seem to recall Newsweek having issues with polls coming out showing the Dem way out front - it generates a lot of press, some press outfits reporting it over their own polls because it gives the result they want, and that’s it. Now they have a poll that is more in line with others. I guarantee it won’t be as widely reported as the other one.
I just can’t help but think it it were Romney, he would be kicking Obama’s butt right now.
