Montana could very well go Democrat. It was a Representative from Montana who voted against entering WWI and WWII. The Republican Party is in a shambles and the Democrats control the Statehouse and both Senate seats. Montana has always been quirky. This is a state where McCain's reputation as a Maverick will help him.

All of these polls are such BS.

Seriously.

Big media exists to distort reality, produce deceptions and steamroll McCain. They want Obama in the White House, and are attempting to shape public opinion through their LIES and MANIPULATION of data.

Americans are continuously given opportunities to see the real Obama (Ayers, Rezko, Wright, Farrakhan, Pfleger, Shabazz, etc).

I refuse to believe that the media is conducting a fair and balanced polling process. What I really suspect is that they are oversampling registered democrats, producing falsified data or a little of both.

I refuse to believe that any of the MSM stories are honest and fair reporting in the slightest.

How I pray that you are right about the landslide.

As for the race riots, let's just say that I am prepared for anything.

Butte has alot of old school blue collar Irish Catholic types. Missoula is filled with hippies, gays, and professors.

If this poll is even within a shouting distance from the truth, it is more likely that McCain will lose in a landslide.

Yes of course McCain is up 7 in Florida but down 5 in F&*KING Montana. Of course! Why not?
This is the way the polls will be all summer as mostly democrats or Adults or my new favorite “Americans” answer them.

McCain may well lose, but it won’t be a reverse 1984 by any strech (remember, Mondale only carried his home state).
Actually, I think its very encouraging that McCain and Obama are so close in the polls. While most polls show Obama up slightly, typically the Dem candidate is up by double digits in early summer. Obama is nowhere near that.

Frankly, I think Obama would have to poll up at least ten points to win the election.
Two reasons for this:
1. Many Obama supports will not bother to vote (especially young people).
2. Many people may say they support Obama, to appear hip and avoid seeming “bigoted”. Of course, they may act completely different behind the voting curtain. This is true for Whites, Asians and even Hispanics.

Of course, I could be wrong. With every election cycle, there are more & more stupid, brainwashed moonbats out there.

“Remember Kerry was 10 points ahead of W during this time 4 years ago.”

Not in the Rasmussen poll. Kerry was never ahead in that poll by more than +2.8. Rasmussen called 2004 and 2006 dead on, and he’s had Obama at +6 or +7 in the daily tracking for weeks, and each new round of polling in the purple states is going toward Obama. The numbers of undecideds are going down, down, down and they’re not picking McCain.

McCain better stop campaigning in Colombia and start in OH, PA and VA or he’s going to lose, period. I’ve never seen a stupider campaign in my life. McCain’s been spending inordinate amounts of time in the Pacific Northwest, California and Central America. It’s the electoral votes, stupid! He needs to campaign in purple states but quick or it’s over.

They have no chance of winning

This is not the main point of a third party which is to shape the overall debate. If they can force one, or both, of the main parties to shift their positions or lose votes. incidentally, this is even more an issue for Obama who faces a threat on his left flank (Nader) that currently is polling ahead of Barr. If Barr can teach the GOP not to run another "loser" like McCain, he has won.

Speaking of Mr. Eastwood, I was visiting Monterey last week and had the pleasure of dining in Mr. Eastwood’s marvelous restaurant, the Mission Ranch. Great views and FABULOUS food!

Barry is in the progressive town of Butte, MT today to walk in the 4th of July parade.

I wonder if he will salute the flag or wear a lapel pin??

The only reason The Mesiah has any chance in Montana is the huge influx of Californians into that state over the last 2 decades. The state appears to now be thoroughly Californificated. Real Montanans, hang your heads in shame.

That is even more true of those who scheme to steal votes away from Republicans.

You cannot "steal" votes. Those votes don't belong to McCain just because he has an 'R' next to his name. McCain has to EARN those votes. Maybe if he'd stop pandering to leftists and not have been such a huge conservative backstabber in the past, things would be easier.

McCain is a frickin' dud candidate. Anyone who voted for him in the primary helped ensure Dole II.
