Is there a link to the opinion yet?
I sometimes wonder how far W and Ms Myers were prepared to go. Or was that a slap in the face of the senate, stating in effect that he could nominate the WH custodian for consideration, the senate job was to vote up/down, not to help pick nominees.
The opinion does seem to be helpful in that regard. Not sure though how it effects select fire/ full auto.

Perhaps. I always believed he would want to write the opinion that drove a dagger in the heart of Roe v. Wade.
You could be right. But if I lived in a may-issue state, I’d sure be challenging those laws based on that wording.

Some great Scalia quotes that go beyond guns, to judiciaal restraint:
