Sgt Winnick is a veteran of Fallujah, he's mentioned in Bing West's No True Glory. One of our friends was able to line him up with Gary Myers, who participants on Haditha threads will remember as lead civilian counsel for LCpl Justin Sharratt. Myers is the best and will give Sgt Winnick the best possible defense.

Most recent Haditha thread: VERDICT IN THE LT GRAYSON TRIAL: NOT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS!

Sgt. John Winnick II is innocent.

Anyone who says otherwise is not a patriot.

Period.

This guy is charged the very day Lt andrew Grayson is found innocent.

Do you suppose the MF'rs in the press are trying to tell us something?

Hells bells. Time to clean out the damned people who are bringing these charges.

How the hell can our military fight any future wars with lawyers and politicians and newsmen (including Muslim stringers) breathing down their necks and questioning every decision made in the heat of war?

This is disgraceful. It’s time some of the people at the top began feeling some heat for letting this go on . . . and on . . . and on.

Are we at war or what? Hello?!! There are about a billion Muslim Islamofascists that want us all dead and our country totally destroyed. They want to rule the world.

Maybe we should just serve them tea and crumpets and little cucumber sandwiches or something. Maybe then the fanatics would leave us alone right?.

I thought the purpose of war was to kill as many of the bad guys as quickly as possible and break as much of their stuff like right now before they can do the same to us.

Maybe we could just send them all to Disneyland and they would love us and leave us and those darned, pesky Jews and Israelis alone and everything would be all hunky dory.

Yeah, that’ll work.

Maybe we could just have the dim Dhim Democrats talk them all to death.

As always, thanks for the ping and thanks for the terrific work you do with ‘Defend Our Marines’.
This will be an interesting case to follow.

From a legal standpoint, this is a horrible case.

To sustain a conviction, the prosecution must prove the accused's state of mind. They must prove that he didn't think he had enough justification to fire.

He can state that long before he fired, he had been observing them and those around them, that in his experience they are taking action that would have eventually resulted in the deaths or wounding of Marines. that he had seen others do the same thing, etc.

It's a bit like a probably cause hearing. A cop can just about say “Your Honor, they just looked hinkey to me and they made suspicious movements, so I stopped and searched them and in the course of that search I found..... “ and get it admitted.

This is getting ridiculous. There has to be a common thread, an antagonist, behind all these trials. Someone’s pushing hard and it’s about time we pushed back...

If there's anything that really gets me enraged, it is seeing the stream of prosecutions of our soldiers. Numerous terrorists have been
1) sent to Gitmo
2) had their “hardships” cried about by our liberal lefties
3) released
4) killed or discovered committing another atrocity after release

All within the duration of the prosecution of our soldiers.
This doesn't even count the imprisonment that the soldiers may be facing.

All these cases are pure BS. The only people who should be brought up on charges are the friggin' military lawyers who have to be consulted before a round is fired, a missile launched or a target painted.

FIRST get rid of ALL THE LAWYERS!!!

he is innocent. i’ve met the marine in question and he is a good friend of my brother. it was an accident in the combat zone like many other situations from wars in the past. now with how our media system works and a large number of free love people who don’t want any death at all freak out about things they have no comprehension of.
