Former House Republican Leader Tom DeLay (Texas) called Barack Obama a "Marxist" on the Mike Gallagher radio show Thursday.
Explaining that Obama clinching the Democratic nomination is a good thing for John McCain, DeLay said Obama's "weakness" is that "nobody knows him."
"And if McCain does not define him as what he is hey, I have said publicly, and I will again, that unless he proves me wrong, he is a Marxist," DeLay said.
The radio host agreed with DeLay, who is facing money laundering charges, saying Obama is "desperately trying to cover up what seems to be the kind of old school Marxist radical liberal failed ideology."
"Absolutely," DeLay said. "No doubt about it."

Is this true? I thought Delay was being prosecuted by an overzealous prosecutor that had a very, very weak case... or is this a hit piece?
Finally someone has the guts to say it. Of course, the liberal Hill has to take a shot at Delay without explaining the corrupt DA from Texas...
He’s a chameleon
Who? McCain or Obama or both?
Anyone know the status of the Delay criminal case? I have not heard a thing about it in a long, long time.
Yes what is the status of Tom Delay’s charges, case etc?
Well, it’s true that he’s being prosecuted, but unlikely that he did what they said. In any case, it’s irrelevant to his comments here, and in that case, I’d say - yeah, it’s a hit piece.
Where’s the Captain Obvious graphic for Delay?
Ronnie Earle has been trying to prosecute DeLay for 3-years now. One of the charges has been tossed. The money laundering charge is still pending. There has been very little movement in the case since June of last years.
Earle is not running for re-election in November. He has, however, vowed to work Pro-Bono on the DeLay case and calls it “vitally important for America.”

It seems like another case of just how a conservative can’t survive in this world.
He was thrown out, without any follow up it seems. And, unlike any liberal with accussations, actually stood down..
This is the problem with being ‘the good guy’.. We do this in the battle against islam as well. Being the ‘good guy’ usually means you lose. If he’s convicted of anything, I’ll change my mind though.
It's pretty much been all a smoke screen. They got what they wanted Delay out of Congress. And 'His trial on campaign finance charges is on indefinite hold.'
Jefferson had 70 grand in cash in his home freezer, in with frozen broccoli, caught red handed, and he is still a Rep., and his case is not going forward.Jefferson was clearly the Dem Black Caucus's bag man for kick backs from African politicians who had received federal aid program money.
Tom is out but Jefferson is in?
Tom is out because the RINOs wanted him out.
Tom is indeed a good man. I hope he helps to rebuild the conservative movement.
BTTT!
He is right. The little research I have done on him links him to members of the CPUSA, and then there is ACORN et al.If all these sycophants would just stop saying a vote for McCain is a vote for a 3rd Bush term would just read they would know something about this dangerous man. We read he is an empty suit..I don’t think so....he has plans and they are plans which won’t be revealed until he in in the WH and then he will pull a Chavez...
I’ve read that Obama has the most liberal voting record in the senate. If he’s even to the left of Bernie Sanders the socialist, then marxist is definitely an appropriate assessment.
obama is the equivalent of an intern being considered for a ceo position. he has no experience,no record of achievement but tells a good story.
Hopefully this will come out as the campaign progresses. If not jimmy carter’s term will look like Ronald Reagan’s in 4 years
