BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Reuters) - Memo to disappointed women supporters of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton: Republican John McCain wants your vote.
McCain, the senator from Arizona who has wrapped up his party's White House nomination, moved on Wednesday to woo women and other Clinton backers whose disappointment over her defeat by Illinois Sen. Barack Obama could cause them to switch teams.
"I would welcome any of Senator Clinton's supporters' vote," McCain told reporters in Louisiana, adding he would seek backing from people across the political spectrum.

Ronald Reagan appealed to Democrats by promoting uncompromised principles of conservatism. I know, I was one of those Democrats.
McCain isn't promoting conservatism, he is abandoning it. McCain is appealing to Democrats by becoming one of them.
McCain finally makes a move towards the right.
It won’t matter who gets in. The Senate will have over 60 dems to over ride any veto. McCain authors most of the democrats legislation anyway.
Can you imagine what kind of America we will be living in when evil scumbags like Louis Farrkhan and Jeremiah Wright are spending quality time in the White House?
Go ahead and vote for him then. Personally, I hope he gets his ass kicked.
The kind where couch potatoes wake up and revolt against liberalism?
Then the great CONSERVATIVE TAKEOVER of the GOP will begin, it has been a long time coming since January of 1989. Twenty years but we will get there yet.

McCain reaches out to disgruntled Clinton supporters
Shouldnt be that far of a reach.

Absolutely correct, nor should it be. Both candidates will now sprint for the center as fast as they can sprint, and McCain has a lot less distance to travel in order to get there.
This is a victorious reality. The center wins. Moderates decide the presidency. Obama must not be allowed to posture himself as moderate. You will soon see him sounding aggressive on Middle East opponents. You’ll see him saying tough things about Iran, while preparing to award Iran the country of Iraq.
McCain is a centrist. Bush added compassionate to the word conservatism. It’s all about the center. One starts to the right of it, but close to it. The other starts to the left of it, far away from it.
If the final positions remain thus, Obama will not be president.
Body slam!
And I thought I played rough....
Yeah, well, page me when he starts reaching out to disgruntled Conservatives.
Psssssst! Over here, Comrade!
They’re not going to wake up with McCrazy in office. More Pubbies will just go into McBot mode and defend his every liberal move. The libs will beat him daily like a red-headed step child but the legislation will still go through.
Good tagline. ; )
**I really wish McCain were reaching out to disgruntled Republicans instead.**
He will. Be patient.
Let them have 60, or even 65 because it takes 67 to override a veto.
Your attitude (and that of the GOP establishment) is exactly why I won't vote for McCain. Trying to extort out of me a vote for a closet liberal is just plain pathetic.
If McCain proposes the same things as president, such as raise taxes, will you oppose him? Or will you do like most of his supporters and defend every liberal stance he takes?
My belief is we will be more energized, more united in stopping a liberal Democrat government than we will against a liberal Republican government.
Does it not bother you that McCain seems to have a serious grudge against conservatives? Have you noticed how well he speaks of our political enemies? and how often he disparages our team?
I have absolutely no qualms about not voting for that POS. No matter what happens this election, I will sleep well knowing I did the right thing.
Why should I be on his team? He has never been on ours!
I start to wonder: who are these conservatives that people are talking about? They couldn't get behind one candidate during the 2008 primary season, and now they're hoping to take over the party?
