BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (Reuters) - Memo to disappointed women supporters of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton: Republican John McCain wants your vote.

McCain, the senator from Arizona who has wrapped up his party's White House nomination, moved on Wednesday to woo women and other Clinton backers whose disappointment over her defeat by Illinois Sen. Barack Obama could cause them to switch teams.

"I would welcome any of Senator Clinton's supporters' vote," McCain told reporters in Louisiana, adding he would seek backing from people across the political spectrum.

I really wish McCain were reaching out to disgruntled Republicans instead.

“McCain reaches out to disgruntled Clinton supporters”

Shouldn’t be that far of a reach.

Can understand McCain’s desire to hijack the democrat party, but clearly there must be an easier way for him.

This just highlights the absurdity of the choices in this election. I'm having to hold my nose and close my eyes and vote for some old illegal alien loving idiot who is seeking support from this evil Commie old bag. Just so that hopefully we can keep an even worse Commie pseudo Muslim from being elected freaking President.

Every election just gets worse and worse. I could have thrown a dart at pictures of people in this country stuck to a map and come up with better than this.

“I really wish McCain were reaching out to disgruntled Republicans instead.”

According to Rush a lot of Hillary’s votes came from Republicans. Is he wrong?

As long as you continue to hold your nose, close your eyes, and ratify their choice to go further Left, nothing will change for the better.

Doctor! Doctor! It hurts when I do this!

Well, stop doing that.

He gave glowing praise to her Thighness last night, then went on to trash Bush.

Bob Barr is looking better every day.

He doesn't need to, besides who else are they (Republicans) going to vote for.

A play right out of Roves book.

I read the title and clicked on here to say the same thing.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

He’ll need them, as he has already spit on the Conservatives.

I'm with you there, but I that is the attitude the McCain camp has. Unfortunate I think a good majority of republicans will vote for the (R) even when he is a liberal moonbat, enviro-nazi, amnesty giving RINO.

McCain has reached out to everybody but Republicans.

I think a good name for Repubs who won't vote for him would be "Mavericks."

“Bob Barr is looking better every day.”

You need better glasses. In favor of the patriot act, before he was against it, in favor of the Iraq war before he was against it, in favor of the BARR AMENDMENT before he was against it. Why don't you just vote for Obama and end the suspense?

Not wrong...but there are also people who voted for Obama just to get rid of Hillary. How many, who knows. But I’m sure it isn’t an insignificant number.

Absolutely so. You know, Reagan reached out to Democrats too and a bunch of them voted for him.

I agree, most Repubs will vote for McCain. They are like the abused spouse, take a beating and keep going back for more. After all, they believe he will change this time.

I used to be offended by the term, “the stupid party”. No longer.
