It is not Gov Sarah Barracuda’s first interview for the VP slot.

Don't tell him or the RNC that she is too conservative.

excellent news.

She is attractive! It will give Hillary’s women loyalists one more reason to dump Obama is he does not invite the queen to his ticket.

Based strictly on the entertainament possibilities (for ME, maybe not for you) I think the VP picks should be as follows:

For John McCain: Former DC Mayor, Marion Barry.

For B. Hussein Obama: Current U.S. VP, Dick Cheney.

I’m laughing just THINKIN’ about it!

McCain would lose the Polar Bear votes with her on the Ticket.

Who cares?

There is no VEEP choice that McCain could make that would compel me to vote for him.

I’m personally starting to look on the bright side of four years (or less) of obstruction, impeachment hearings, and gaffes of a President Obama.

The only thing better than a conservative that will lower taxes, secure the border and eliminate non-essential government spending..is a President who can’t get anything done.

She has little children at home.

I can’t get behind this.

In terms of strategery I was thinking Olympia Snowe. But that would probably mean giving up a senate seat, and she's as liberal as McCain.

At first glance, I like this idea better! Any reason I shouldn't?

Now below would of been a dream ticket. A 46 State win or better. Its a damn shame the RNC feels it has to move left to win states, when the answer is so clear.

Bobby Jindal Pres
Sarah Palin VP

Seems like the McCain crew, and the pundit class, is behind the idea of a gimmick VP candidate to try and offset the raqcial appeal of Obama.

Foolish strategy.

Palin has been an athlete and a beauty queen. She was the point guard for the Wasilla High School Warriors when they won the state small school basketball championship in 1982. In 1984, Palin competed in the Miss Alaska contest after being chosen Miss Wasilla that year. In the Wasilla contest, she played the flute and also won the title of Miss Congeniality.

Details of Palin's personal life have contributed to her political image. She eats moose burgers and rides snowmobiles. She admits that, when marijuana was legal in the state, she used it; however, she didn't like it.

Palin's education includes a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Idaho. She briefly worked in the media and utility industry. Palin was named one of Alaska's "Top 40 Under 40," Alaska's Public Works "Person of the Year," and was recently inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society at Alaska Pacific University. She is also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Palin's husband, Todd, works on the North Slope and is a commercial fisherman. On September 11, 2007, Palin's son Track joined the Army. Age 18 at the time, he is the eldest of her five children. She also has three daughters, Bristol, 17, Willow, 13, and Piper, 7. On April 18, 2008, Palin gave birth to her second son, Trig Paxson Van Palin. The boy has Down syndrome. The Palin family lives in Wasilla, about 40 miles north of Anchorage.

Sounds like a far more attractive VP candidate than, say, Hillary would be for Obama!

Not a good idea. Palin may be right on the issues, but she is not an exciting candidate. I met her back last fall and she was very pleasant, but gave a very lackluster speech and did not work the room well. I was optimistic going in knowing her reputation, but left severely unimpressed.

Of that list, I really like the idea of Portman. Experienced, articulate, relatively young, and could be just enough to tip Ohio to McCain.

I'd be ecstatic with either Palin or Jindal as the choice for VP.

Romney/Crist/Graham would have me running for the exits.

Politically, selecting Palin would be a smart move on McCain’s part. But is she ready or qualified to take over the Presidency should that be necessary?

McCain will be 72 if inaugurated. Fair or not, people are going to look at McCain’s VP selection and wonder if that person is up to being President. How can one make the claim that Obama lacks the depth and experience to be president and then select a running-mate with 18 months experience as a governor?
