ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) - Former White House press secretary Tony Snow, diagnosed with cancer three years ago, canceled a speaking appearance at Ohio's Ashland University because of an unspecified illness, the university announced Wednesday.

I had to leave at 2:30 yesterday for a wedding so had to wait until today to catch up.
I’m treasuring my invitation to Tony’s birthday party tomorrow but after that wedding reception I’m going to have to pass on the cake and ice cream—Big Time! :)

I haven’t seen Bob Dole’s letter to McClellan yet, Foxy. He needs to be taken to the woodshed. At least I was just frustrated watching him from here—it would have been hard for me not to have throttled him while he was stammering away up there. He reminded me of a 14 year old boy trying to talk his way out of taking the family car for a joy ride.
Where do these people come from? One of the men in our Silver Sneakers class has totally lost it. He asked me if I rememembered Adolph Hitler (!?), and that “Bush is acting just like him. And the CIA killed JFK...” I told him I respected his right to his opinion but I couldn’t disagree with him more. I congratulated myself on not calling him an idiot.
Actually my father was building our house back then—had that black Celotex up over the 2x4’s and couldn’t get supplies to finish. So he chalked Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo on them and we threw darts!
I think we need a Scott McClennan dart board.

You know it’s bad when both Mary Matalin and James Carville agree that what Scott McClellan did was wrong and clearly was all about the money.
If he had issues, he should have voiced them then.
Or he should have quit.
If he had an evolution of thought, shouldn’t he have directed his thoughts and sentiments directly to his friends and former bosses, rather than to sell them to the only company that would buy it?

I watched a bit too, but couldn't watch long. Yuk. The Dems constantly find themselves defending their actions which they criticized when the Republicans did the same thing. Remember Florida in 2000? Count every vote. Gore won the popular vote [but NOT in Florida] and lost the election in the Electoral College. Hillary is now in an identical position. But, suddenly the Dems don't feel she should win the nomination despite winning more votes than Obama. To make it more hypocritical, Hillary changed her position on the votes and delegates after she saw the personal effect on her. The infamous "Flip Flop!"

While I disagree with much of Pres. Bush's accomplishments, save his reduction of taxes and superb Supreme Court picks, he is a good man. Not a conservative, but a good man. The Dems are trying to demean him which I find as appealing as someone burning the flag.
If anyone fits the Hitler analogy, it is Obama.
BTW: I think your Silver Sneakers friend should be in the Tin Foil Hat Club, instead. 8)
