Short but serious question:
So, what's it gonna be folks? Turncoat RINO or America hating Marxist?
Turncoat RINO.
‘Twill be interesting... and l o n g..
Ever the gracious host, eh? You bested me by a country mile. ;-)
You should have seen what I was going to post in response to that “sane” post.
In fareness to him, he has done a helluva job getting conservatives on the SCOTUS and on other courts, and in opposing Democrat taxes and threats to America’s security.
Let it be the Socialist or the Marxist that leads us to ruin. I don't think I can make myself vote for the conservative hating rhino to do it.
Plenty. But once Obama is President, it becomes a different matter. Trust me, he's not going to withdraw the troops from Iraq immediately. For starters, it's logistically impossible. 2nd of all, he'll be briefed by outgoing Bush advisers not to do so. 3rd of all, he'll get the blame if anything happens.
Do you think those in their right minds (no pun)will have obama's ear, or is there a possibility that the likes of Turbin durbin, stark, ried and their ilk will have influence?
Who knows? Obama will be an incompetent Commander-in-Chief, but he's not stupid enough to pull the rug completely out from under our troops. Fricking Kucinich could be president and he'll still be obligated to finish the job in Iraq unless he wants to see pitchforks and torches on Pennsylvania Avenue. Even Clinton took a harsh stand on Saddam when he won in 1992, you think Democrats want to go back to the Carter years?
I guess the question is, just how far are you willing to let this country sink in the hopes of the sheeple then waking up and revolting?
Let me ask you a question. How far are you willing to tolerate drip-drip socialism? Amnesty under McCain? Global Warming? I don't know about you, but I'm tired of holding my nose for a RINO, and I'm sure other conservatives are too per the storm on NRCC's blog. A vote for McCain is a vote for the same-old socialism that's going to bury America (albeit slower under McCain than Obama). I'd rather fight back under Obama than to acquiescence under McCain and a feckless GOP.
Another thing about McCain, most of my disagreements with him are domestic, where the powers of the President are very limited anyway. On foreign policy & military policy, I agree with him much more often than not, and that’s where the President’s real power is.
First a thanksgiving for answered prayer... uplifting to see you post.
I do not know yet IF I can vote for lord McCain... given he has publicly stated he will work with anybody and there appears to be NO likelihood that either old Hillary or young Obama will leave the House of Lords (Senate). Stands to reason that liberal control of Congress will have far more weight to a sitting lord president McCain than anything any conservative would seek.
So is a vote for lord McCain not really an acceptance of the fruits of either Hillary or Obama? After all look how many Americans voted for them once already this year???
Glad to see you back. :')
Glad to see you back. :')
It’s a lose/lose-worse situation, to be sure.
Right now I’m leaning toward a write-in for... I dunno... Rush Limbaugh or Walter Williams or Ann Coulter, while keeping my fingers crossed that McCain has chosen a great VP and wins without my vote.
Glad to see you back. :')
:)
“Just like everyone else on this forum will.”
The hell you say.
See tagline. (Good to see you back - you were missed!)
I hit the post once..honest...2nd time tonight I’ve muli-posted.
If we vote for the RINO, the GOP will continue to serve RINO. At some point there has to be a course correction. Is now that time?
As I said, it’s a serious question.
So next time around maybe web can learn not to split our vote for lisping, one-note Johnies, Hollywood Actors who have never been a leader in their lives and quit whenever the going got tough, or arcane congressmen who are simply bored and never even tried to take a leading role in the GOP Caucus.
Oh yeah, and a permanent auto-ban on anyone who ever mentions anything about $50 abortions.
