This is because of global warming. The food suppy chain has begun its depletion, and now it’s only a matter of time before coyotes attack in waves.

Yet you’ll do 5 years in prison if you shoot one (a coyote).

Is it still legal to shoot coyotes or are they “endangered species”?

I am dumbfounded by parents who do not stay with their young children. What moron leaves their young child unattended?

In each of these instances, an adult somehow got misdirected long enough for the Coyote to bite the child before they intervened.

When I had young kids, that coyote would have been dead meat before touching my child.

He will......like all liberals, he will make it illegal to shoot them and force the people to feed them on a regular basis. That’s how carzy this country of ours is getting.

Rowley took her daughter to a hospital where the toddler was treated for several punctures to the head and neck area, and a laceration on her mouth. She was then flown to Loma Linda University Hospital for further treatment, although her injuries were not life-threatening.

It’s gonna take a few deaths to smarten up a california liberal into getting laws changed to control preditory wildlife.

10 more years and maybe the same amount of human deaths.

Liberals learning curves are pretty flat.

I lay the fault at the feet of the gun grabbing & controlling panty waisted pussies that think that coyotes should not be killed on sight. Coyotes will never be exterminated, they are survivors. Thinning the population will keep the children safe. Let's do it for the children. A coyote in my neighborhood knows to stay well out of sight and if it comes within 350 yards of me its a dead one.

For those of you not familiar with coyotes, let me assure you, they are very different from dogs in how they behave.

They are both intelligent and skilled at tactics. By this I mean they will scheme until they find and opening, and have a plan both how to attack and how to get away before they begin.

Indians noted this long ago, and nicknamed them “tricksters” that should never be trusted.

In this case, the coyote was probably hidden for some time, watching the children, and waiting for an opportunity to grab them. Their miscalculation was that they were unable to drag away their prey before being discovered.

But yes, it is only a matter of time before their plans figure out a way. If nothing else, they will figure out how to quickly kill a child, then drag it to a nearby hidden place, like under a front porch, where they will stay hidden until they can make a clean getaway.

Ironically, wolves have a lot more raw intelligence than coyotes, even if they don’t share their scheming nature. And there have been some reports in the eastern US of wolves and coyotes cross-breeding.

If this is the case, the hybrid animal could be exceptionally dangerous.

Coyotes have become more common lately, and not just in mountain communities like Lake Arrowhead. My father has lived in Orange County for about 35 years. But in the last few years his backyard has been visited several time by coyotes. And this was in broad daylight!

My father is in a well developed suburb. His yard is surrounded by cinder block walls. The coyotes are a new phenomena.
