Tunes For The Troops

**Artist Showcase**
Disturbed is a rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The group was formed in 1996 when musicians Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, and Mike Wengren hired singer David Draiman in Chicago, Illinois. Originally classified as a nu metal band, Disturbed is now regarded by some music critics as hard rock or heavy metal, although others now regard them as alternative metal. However, the band's genre is still being debated. When asked about die-hard metal fans not finding Disturbed heavy enough, frontman David Draiman stated:
"We probably have too much melody going on or we're not quite as turbulent or caustic. While I really love that type of music, it's not what we try to do. If we have to place things in context, we're more hard rock than heavy metal these days."
This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!
Enjoy the variety of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays provide throughout the thread. Please ping LaurenMarlowe with your requests for the Troops.
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!

I usually file late - this is one of the few times in recent years I have gotten it in on time.

I wouldn't get in the middle of those crowds for anything.
Lot of down town companies have parties on their roof or the top floor of parking garages.
The big advantage of the traffic mess. We have plenty of practice in evacuating 200,000 people out of the area in 2 hours.
Our disaster planning people are very good.
The new’s crews covering it are bundled up like for the Macy's Christmas parade.

Is it cold there? I knew you were getting rain, but didn’t
know it was “winter” there again.
You can probably see as much from your window as you could
by being in the crowds at the airfield. :D

Temps in the middle 40’s...We had a cold front blow through yesterday evening.
About blew me away, and definitely wrecked my hair.

I’ll bet the winds were furious! We have had lots of wind
lately, too. But instead of it blowing in rain...we had
sand. Ugh. Gritty in your teeth.
Hope it warms up for you. It’s been kind of chilly here today,
too. It’s still just in the 60s though the sun is shining
bright. I have roses blooming, which pleases me.
