Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase**
Disturbed is a rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The group was formed in 1996 when musicians Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, and Mike Wengren hired singer David Draiman in Chicago, Illinois. Originally classified as a nu metal band, Disturbed is now regarded by some music critics as hard rock or heavy metal, although others now regard them as alternative metal. However, the band's genre is still being debated. When asked about die-hard metal fans not finding Disturbed heavy enough, frontman David Draiman stated:
"We probably have too much melody going on or we're not quite as turbulent or caustic. While I really love that type of music, it's not what we try to do. If we have to place things in context, we're more hard rock than heavy metal these days."
This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!

On April 19, 1965, Capitol released The Beatles first newly recorded single of the year. "Ticket To Ride". As expected, it quickly topped the charts as were a slew of songs from the band's first movie, "
A Hard Days Night. The movie soundtrack topped the album and singles charts, but it was on the film company's United Artists Records and with their second movie "Help!" not scheduled until mid-August and
The Early Beatles failing to generate much of a buzz due to the recycled material, the summer looked bleak unless Capitol could hastily assemble and release a new Beatles album. The six songs leftover from the British LP
Beatles For Sale, including four "previously unreleased in America" tracksand both sides of Capitol's "Eight Days A Week" single were available.
As planned "Eight Days A Week" would be the hit single to help drive sales for the new album. Because the group's current single, "Ticket To Ride", would be featured in the upcoming film and appear on the soundtrack LP, Capitol decided against placing the song on the new album. However, the single's flip-side. "Yes It Is", could be included as it was not selected for the movie. This left Capitol four songs short of its 11-song minimum need for an album.
Discussions with EMI and Beatles' producer George Martin revealed that there were two completed songs from the current sessions that would not be used in the film, "You Like Me Too Much" and "Tell Me What You See". To help Capitol complete the album, The Beatles made a special trip to Abbey Road on May 10, 1965, to record the two remaining songs needed for the LP. As time was of the essence, the group played it safe by recording tow Larry Williams rockers, "Bad Boy" and Dizzy Miss Lizzy", that had been part of the band's stage show during their formative years. Master tapes of the songs were sent the following day to Capitol by air freight. The album was titled
Beatles VI and released on June 14, 1965. It was certified Gold ten days later and had spent its first of six straight weeks at number one by July 10.

The back yard retaining wall is the last of the “big” projects that we have to do here at the alfa6 compound. I hope!!!
Now if I can keep the kids under control:-) I is getting to old to do much more of these big projects.
