The temperature of the planet is dropping like a stone...(They should have checked with Al first)
Spectator ^ | 4/9/08 | Melanie Phillips

All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASAGISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously. A compiled list of all the sources can be seen...The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out most of the warming recorded over the past 100 years.

Good to see I’m not the only one paying attention. The solar cycle is THE reason for all the temperature variations. This year should be the nail in the coffin if cycle 24 does not start before winter.

The critical piece is to hold the envirowackos feet to the fire when cycle 24 does start again. It’s likely that cycle 24 will be even warmer than the last and they will once again use it as “proof” of man-made global warming.

If we plunge into another ice age, will they take Algore’s prize away from him and burn it to keep warm?

Since Global Warming can be stopped by raising taxes, Global Cooling can only be stopped by lowering taxes.

LOLogical!

Solar activity has hit a sudden low. Only two years ago, Solar flares were hitting record levels. (That is in the last 50 years when the technology was in place to monitor it accurately.) One flare destroyed several satellites in orbit and damaged many others. All related to hyper active Sun-spot activity.

However, very recently, there has been a sudden lack of Sun-spot activity. In fact, some scientists are worried that the Sun has become as inactive as it was during the Little Ice Age. Which caused massive crop failures, World famine and plague. (The Black Plague and the Irish Potato famine were all related to it.)

This may very well prove to the Chicken Little crowd that the Sun is the entire reason for the latest warming trend, which has also been seen on other planets like Mars, in conjunction with ours.

We need to stop global cooling.

Everyone increase your carbon emissions.

Drill for oil everywhere.

Do it for the planet.

I just have to ask. During the last decade as the voices for Global Warming have become louder and more strident, then as Algore began his quest for a life and his Nobel Prize, did any one else say, “What does he know that I don't???” I mean, science was never my best subject (although I usually Aced it), but c’mon. Back before recorded history, I remember science teachers talking about sun spots controlling the earth's climate.

I'm descended from farmers who lived by the weather and had historical letters from family regarding crops, weather and social ramifications of weather. I just kept asking myself, “How could he get behind this? What has science theorized now?” Turns out he didn't even finish school, much less major in hard sciences.

It's not like I was shocked to hear Rosie O'Donnell’s latest confession either. Listen, you can be wise in years and experience, but for the love of all that's holy, what's up with “I'm a nuclear physicist” when you majored in political science. Anybody??? Any one else think these things???

No, it’s “climate CHANGE” - you know, everything in natural meteorology is supposed to stay exactly the same year-to-year for centuries on end...

"And one finally check of local weather. It is 19:53 Zulu, April 9, 2___; it must be 46F, partially cloudy, with winds from the east-north-east at 10-15MPH. For tomorrow, it must be...".

Now now, you KNOW the answer to EVERY problem is Global Socialism, less capitalism, and less individual freedom.

Actually, the longer 23 stretches out, the more likely it is that cycle 24 will be small. see url below for a host of predictions. Majority of predictions are now in the low to moderate range. With cycle 25 definitely being predicted as the lowest in centuries, if 24 is low, we are likely looking at a Dalton minimum and potentially a Maunder minimum. Keep your sweaters handy.

I for one am sick and tired of listening to his lies and junk science.

As am I. I am also tired of hearing the term "greenhouse gases" as though it was something bad. What hooey! If it weren't for greenhouse gases this planet would be a frozen wasteland! Warm is good! Cold is bad. Warm means lots of food, margaritas and good times. Cold means igloos, parkas, eating seal meat every day and bad times! Think warm.

Go to hell Al Gore.

Hot is uncomfortable, but cold just plain hurts. I would take the 135 degree days in Baghdad in July and August over 20 degree days in the dead of winter. Hands down, no comparison.

I tend to look at it a different way...

You can always put another layer of clothes on. You can’t always take another layer of clothes off.
