So, do you think things have been better since democrats took control in 2006?
HOGWASH! No one will keep an eye on him--they will be muzzled and hog-tied into supporting his liberalism.
Schwarzenegger has been able to accomplish more for the liberal agenda than any Democrat could have dreamed of. He joins with Democrats and calls it "bi-partisanship" when he introduces their policies! The same model applies on a national basis. McCain can go forward with his Global Warming scam, Amnesty, and any other host of whacked out environmental policies that weaken our sovereignty and strenghen the move toward global governance while stifling opposition from right-thinking Americans. And all the while, these moves will be touted in the media as "bi-partisan" or the plan of the "Republican" President.
We need to learn from history--a liberal "Republican" leader, with a Democrat controlled Congress, will advance socialism faster than most any alternative.
What did I say against free speech? I would suggest you point it out.

All hope of influencing the Republican Party from within is gone.
It's going to take an outside conservative force to take this country back.
A sidenote: I refuse to use the honorific "GOP" any more. The Republican Party may be "Old," but it is no longer in any way "Grand."
One more thing: Tom Tancredo can kiss my backside. His endorsement of Romney, and now McCain, destroys any credibility he had left. It ain't where you start out that matters, it's where you end up. And he's now firmly in the liberal camp, no matter how much he claims reluctance. For all practical purposes, he's now a supporter of amnesty, Juan Hernandez and "The Race."
So am I, Tom. I am doing this for one reason. Supreme Court.
As a precinct committeeman, I suppose I am about as low a level as one can get in the Republican Party.
Don't blame me for McCain. I haven't had the chance to vote yet.
However, I will vote for McCain in the GE. Sure beats having Obama or Clinton as President.
Any Republican who runs as an Independent and siphons off enough vote to let Obama or Clinton become President can forget about running for elective office in the future.

He added that he believes Barr's candidacy is a serious threat to Republican chances in November, because it could siphon off conservative voters who are skeptical of McCain.
He's a two-issue ex-candidate!
The problem is that the GOP and McCain have assumed all along that disgruntled conservatives will come around to support McCain in the general election. I would certainly rather see him win than Obama or Hillary, but count on others to push him across the finish line.

I believe the most important issue is the SC. You guys who want to not vote and let the dims win to teach the Repulicans a lesson are forgetting that the SC appointments will affect us for generations. I know your argument that there is no certainty that McCain will appoint good judges, but that is just your opinion and it takes a chance with future generations. WE KNOW the dims will appoint heinous judges. If you want to affect your children and grandchildren because you are in a snit, you had better think carefully. I emailed McCain a long time ago and said I wouldn't vote for him because of the gang of 14, McCain-Feingold, etc. Now, I have to be pragmatic myself.
That may happen. I don't know. All I DO know is this. Obama's picks will be awful. He didn't even support John Roberts, one of the most competent individuals to ever be on that court. Obama has also shown distain for the constitution despite known better as he taught con law. Hillary Clinton will appoint another Breyer or Ginsburg.
We MIGHT get a good pick from McCain. We WON'T get a good pick from Obama or Clinton. I voted for Ron Paul in the primary (based on domestic issues, not foreign policy where I'm about 1/2 way between McCain and Paul). He lost. The primary voters chose McCain. I've considered a protest vote, but for all of McCain's fault, he DID vote for Alito and Roberts, and Clarence Thomas.
I won't flame anyone who protest votes in this election unless it is for Obama or Hillary, but this time, I'll have to go with McCain, at least until two more judges are in our favor.

I NEVER gave Tancredo much respect. Why should I? All he did was take a position HELD by MOST Americans on the issue of ILLEGAL immigration. His stand on ILLEGAL immigration was both POPULIST and CONSERVATIVE. The treachereous IDIOTS who run both the Democrat and Republican Party take the same opposing treacherous view. In the end we know Tancredo was NO leader, just a TYPICAL political WHORE which populates both corrupt political parties. He talked some talk, but did not walk the walk, he likes his GUBMINT job, and will kiss any ring to keep it.
Exactly. Which is why Democrat John McCain will never get my vote.
