All McCain voters are selling the rest of us TRUE CONSERVATIVES out!
Enough!
Show you have the values of your convictions and leave the BLUE BLOOD REPUBLICANS in Washington, crawling on their knees for forgiveness!
Wait a sec, you're from Jersey?!? I'm actually going to be working on the campaign of Paultard Murray Sabrin in hopes that he can unseat that douche Lautenberg.
The fact that people actually believe this makes me sad.
Don’t you think it kind of strange that conservatives have to check with someone who voted for Clinton to see if they are a sellout or not? I vote him off the island (or whatever it is).
Not from Jersey, just famous.. btw, I heard Sarbin endorsed McCain the other day.. The people at the Paul forums were throwing a hissy fit.
Where were the conservatives supporting Hunter when we needed him? Mmmm? Don't bash the McCain supporters for the lack of Hunter supporters .
To you, I say...
Those who say it is are only strengthening the resolve of those who have determined to NOT vote for McCain, so far, in that that they are wavering between McCain and third party, write-in, or not punching ANYONE'S name for President.
Don't give them a reason to NOT vote for the others.
Give them a reason TO vote FOR McCain.
BEST STATEMENT posted on this entire thread. I've never thought of those abandoning voting in terms of leaving the troops in the hands of a possible Pres. Clinton or Obama. You are right. Totally irresponsible.
He is, nonetheless, the least dangerous viable option.
Only small minded idiots truly believe that there are only three possible choices for President. There is still time for a better candidate to emerge.
Then kindly clue us small minded idiots in as to who and how. Short of one of these three assuming room temperature or something else comparably traumatic, we're going to end up with Hillary, Obama, or McCain.
So are you saying I can’t point out the problems with this man as President? If so, go take a flying leap. Unless JimRob orders otherwise, I’ll say what I please. Like it or lump it.
I saw your tag, and I disagree most profoundly. Socialism in the Republican party is infinitely more dangerous than it' counterpart in the Democrat party.
I was for Hunter and Thompson.
I know.
I have only pulled the lever for our candidate happily twice - both times for Ronald Reagan.
I could say something similar to that, but I would have to add that I have never knowingly voted *for* socialism, nor will I ever give one who represents it my endorsement.
Just dont call people NOT conservative or sell-outs because they vote for the candidate, even if it makes you all smug and sh*t and makes you feel better.
All "smug and sh*t"? I don't know what part of my single sentence post to you left you with the impression I was "smug" about it at all. Such a venomous reaction... I must have touched a nerve.
Says the man from his comfy computer chair.
You, sir, are a perfect example as to why I take breaks from FR.
I’ll be voting Constitution Party if they nominate Alan Keyes at their national convention April 23-26 in Kansas City.
If anyone wants to be a delegate from their state, it’s still possible in many instances, if you act now.
Click at the link below to contact your states’ CP leadership to see if they still have any slots open:

This is, as far as I can see, the last opportunity for the American people to have a truly conservative and viable presidential choice on their ballot in November.
I never said any such thing. If you want to point our what you see as failings, go right ahead. I simply stated that I’m not going to allow my personal feelings about the man to keep me from voting for him, when I think the alternative would be disastrous for this country. And I don’t think I’m any less of a conservative for doing so.
;o)
Ok, to be fair, you didn't actually say that you were trying to silence me--I read it that way, and that's my fault. On the other hand, I don't think I ever said you were a sellout, either. I have, however, pointed out that the guy's no conservative, he's just barely a Republican, and he's wrong for the office of President. I have also said, and speaking for myself only, I can't in good conscience vote for him.
The Paul forum people tend to be dumbasses. It's an uphill battle as it is to get the nomination and defeat an incumbent which means that Sabrin has to do everything possible to make himself look good including making nice with McCain who is unfortunately quite popular here.
I take it there was a typo in this statement- the period at the end should have been a colon.
I gave you a bulleted list right out of McCain's talking points to defend my position, and you return with this crybaby rant, which has less sense than emotion and name-calling.
To reply to the wee bit of substance in your "post":
You stop globalism from within.
It is lunacy to suggest that one can fight Globalism by voting for it. It is also lunacy to suggest that it can be changed from within, when the leadership controls the purse strings and the primaries to such a degree that Conservatism remains confined to it's strongholds.
The only means that works is the one that Conservatives tend to apply- They vote with their feet- Just as as I (and my fellows) am doing now. The Rockefeller wing (and the Bakerites with them) have never willingly given up control. One must crater the party to cause a change in leadership.
For you to leave our troops, on the battlefield, in the hands of Obama-Klinton, makes you no different than a Liberal-Socialist-Globalist.
This mantra, effectively, "It's for the children", will have no impact upon Conservatives in the light of empirical evidence of motives that run contrary to the stated purpose for this war.
With the LOST treaty in effect, the Arab/Communist controlled UN can legally deny passage to our carrier groups and supply ships, leaving our troops largely at the whim of the very people we are fighting, without the ability to remove them or defend them, except by long range air.
That's what you would vote *for*, so stop wrapping yourself in the flag with the "It's for the troops" crap. It isn't going to work.
It is human nature to do what ever is easier. It isn't a conspiracy and I am not a victim.
No, you don't have the numbers. Here among your fellows on FR you only have the illusion of numbers.
Freepers are not, as a general rule, conservatives. Most Freepers have a political agenda of one idea that they try to promote. Take away Gun rights, Abortion, Religion and Taxes as issues and I bet the majority of Freepers wouldn't have any problems joining the Libs.
I tend to place my faith in the hard working people who are too busy to log onto FR. Although sadly they are often too busy to vote either : (
There are ways to get back in the game, but again I'll say, it's not the work of a single generation. Unfortunately, patience doesn't seem to be the virtue it once was.
Patience for its own sake has little value. We need a plan. Reagan had a plan and Newt had a plan in 94. We haven't had a plan for a long time : (
