Vote for McCain and hope he rises to the occasion on some important issuers. Or don't, and hope the ensuing all-Dem all-the-time nightmare produces a Reaganesque reactionary hero years down the road, and that the Dem damage hasn't been irreparable. I'm voting for McCain.

First of all, the rage on this thread seems directed at McCain detractors, not McCain. That said, I mostly agree with your characterization of the choice, with the added hope given a McCain loss that conservatives in Congress will feel freer to fight against the President's agenda if that President has a (D) after their name. I know it's a gamble, and I think smart conservatives can come down on either side. I am not voting for McCain, but I can respect your reasoning for voting for him.

I picketed Bill Clinton yesterday in Medford, Oregon, and I asked all the other Pro-Lifers there who they were voting for.

Guess what? NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON said they were going to vote for John McCain.

I won’t vote for him because he wants government to censor groups that criticize politicians 60 days before an election.

Any politician who believes in censoring the NRA and Right to Life does not deserve to run for public office, whether it’s trash collector or president.

That’s one of the first things a politician must uphold, the belief in the Constitution and the 1st Amendment. McCain doesn’t support the 1st Amendment, he supports, instead, censorship of political viewpoints by groups like the NRA and Right to Life.

I’ve never expressed any vitriol towards people who disagree with me, by the way...as you seem to be doing here, a bit.
