Another Obama Supporter Has Farrakhan Links(Catholic priest)
worldnetdaily.com ^ | March 24, 2008 | Jerome R. Corsi

The ranks of Sen. Barack Obama's supporters in his bid to become president of the United States have been found to include a white priest of a mostly black church who has links to Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan and an apparently low level of tolerance for the 2nd Amendment.

The supporter is Father Michael Pfleger, a white Roman Catholic priest of the predominantly African-American St. Sabrina Church on Chicago's South Side.

Pfleger currently is listed on Obama's 2008 presidential campaign website as being one of the "people of faith" who endorse Obama's campaign.

The endorsement includes a photo of Pfleger and a testimonial in which Pfleger compares Obama to Robert F. Kennedy, "I haven’t heard anyone since Robert F. Kennedy who is causing such an emotional awakening to the political possibilities."

According to the Chicago Tribune, Pfleger gave Obama political contributions of $1,500 between 1995 and 2001, including $200 in April 2001, about three months after Obama announced $225,000 in grants to St. Sabina programs.

How can a Roman Catholic priest be endorsing a pro-abortion candidate, I thought the pope had prohibited that?

I don’t know what diocese you are in but in my diocese we don’t “tolerate” this.
I am happy to say that when priests get on the “wrong side” in my diocese, they are removed!

“How can a Roman Catholic priest be endorsing a pro-abortion candidate?”

Exactly what I plan to ask Cardinal George if someone will kindly post the contact information for the cardinal.

I’m tired of making apologies & excuses for priests of my Church.

Not so everywhere. Research will show Liberation Theology is alive in many sectors of the Church, especially where you find Illegal Invaders in High Proportion.Who were the first to put water barrels and maps in theDesert, not the Mexican government!Or offer "Sanctuary Churches"? And now further fun with our good priest. Yammering at the Bully Pulpit in front of "Black Jesus".Black Jesus 1 In his blog he states he never believed in "White Jesus"(?) The Young Couple. Black Jesus With two Chicago elected officials about to dispense a litlle"Street Justice" to a gun store owner on the 24th of June 2007. Photobucket Not only tolerated, but encouraged. Reminds me of those two "Nuns" in Australia going to the edge to defend a child rapist. And lets not forget "Rev'nd Wright" another Obama go to it guy.

He’s going down... big time.

I wouldn’t be surprised if golden boy’s minions leaked it to take attention off... doesn’t matter; Obviously Cardinal George has let this go on for too long.

Check this out: http://www.israelforum.com/blog_article.php?aid=1334752

For the trolls lurking: Thank O for the distraction, we need to shut this one down anyway, as usual, another one under the bus. Good deed for the church militant, many will suffer after... as it should be, that many will see the error of their ways.

This keeps me in practice until he gets the nod.

“He’s going down... big time?”

I hope so and I’m not that familiar with this priest but others on FR have said this has been going on with this particular priest for TWENTY YEARS?

He said he was a progressive and a pragmatist,
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/25/us/politics/25obama.html?ex=1364184000&en=a4d22c93b1ae5427&ei=5089&partner=rssyahoo&emc=rss

Some mornings certain things I read just knock me out of my chair, make my jaw drop, and well honestly make me wonder if our kids really know their history.

He has openly stated he is a liberal fascist. His use of the two terms progressive and pragmatist hold roots deep into fascism. Pragmatist in this sense is not a good thing. Pragmatism in his sense of the word is a form of relativism. The word Pragmatist was made up by Mussolini. (Liberal Fascism, Jonah Goldberg, pg. 54). Obama is not using this descriptor in a conventional connotation of himself!

He is already calling for the ‘quiet riot,’ again this is a tactic to strike terror into the public. Terror is a tool of fascism to achieve the totalitarian state.

The pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place regarding who Obama really is. He has the rhetorical ability to pull off the overthrow of the existing politics. Mussolini didn't have a plan or policy when he marched on Rome. He had the rhetoric though. He had the myth of socialism and the ability to make the people ‘believe’ the religion of the state. Make no mistake about Obama.

Obama is dangerous. Even if he doesn't get the nomination this time, it will all work to his advantage in 10 years from now. Look at his voting record, really look at his rhetoric and now what he has openly stated he is in the political sense.

He won't deny Wright, why? We can't see why, because we're missing the real purpose behind his use of Wright as a tool to power. Now a priest and Farrakhan?

I pray I give him too much credit, but many dismissed others in their early days too.

Looking for references for Father Michael Pfleger, I found this article on the sermons at Trinity on Good Friday. It appears Pfleger was one of seven guest preachers that day. I hadn't seen an article on the Good Friday sermons. A Visit to Obama's Chicago Church

The Trinity United Church of Christ vibrated with cheers throughout the four-hour Good Friday service. When the last of seven guest preachers, Rev. Rudolph McKissick, Jr. unleashed his anger against the recent media storm that catapulted Trinity to global notoriety, the crowd rose to their feet. McKissick thundered: "Fox News, CNN, ABC ... they're so stupid that they don't even know the word damn is not a profanity but a Hebraic proclivity, meaning God's curse will fall on all those who defy his love. They know not with whom they are messing. Jeremiah Wright might have retired in body, but just like Jesus, he's coming back more powerful than ever! D*mn you! D*mn anyone who messes with the anointed." At that, a TUCC member leaned over and said to TIME with a sigh, "Well, I guess that one's on the record."....

....[snip]...Trinity's own Roman-like architecture is unfamiliar for a church, which might explain why some outsiders found it cultish and strange. The congregation meets in a theater-in-the round, designed after secular buildings like the Parthenon and the U.S. Congress. Stained-glass windows flanking the entrance feature images of African American leaders, not saints: W.E.B. Du Bois, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. There is also a glass sculpture of a man resembling Obama. Above it, light streams through block-lettered words: "VOTE. We need YOU." For now at least, Trinity may offer the only refuge for South Siders longing to experience the blessing of democracy.

This brings back old memories and my campaign days in Chicago when a Republican state senator Joe Krasowski whom I did stuff for (campaign litrature worked precinsts etc) represented that district but was redistricted out.

St Sabina's is an old Irish parish. In a Irish section on the south end of a Chicago neighborhood known as "Back of The Yards". The area went into a transition around the 70's and the area is now a black neighborhood with few very old families remaining. Many whites who tried to remain fled because of social and physical intimidation promulgated by black churches such as Obama's church and why I am down on them and write of them in my website.
http://www.theusmat.com/

Pflaiger comes directly out of the 60's like Milwaukee's father Groppi. These are activist priests that came at the time when they tossed out the latin mass and began having priests preaching "social doctrine". When a new pastor took over St Sympharosa's in the Clearing neighborhood the first thing he did in the church bulletin was heavily editorialze on the use of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and cut out confessions and traditional observances (novenas etc). I never liked the guy to this day he is still anti-military and a pompus SOB. But one reason why Catholic attendance dropped. Which is now beining to pick up with the direction of the two successive popes John Paul and Benedict
