Rush knows that should Clinton win her nomination, she is the weakest of the two Dems that will face McCain in November.

Name one time in 16 years when a Rush prediction about the Clintons came to pass.

I think the potential is there for Obama, lacking Hillary’s intransigent negatives, to do much more harm.

I agree. Let's do process by elimination:

If McLaim is prez, then all of his screwups will be blamed on the Republican Party and it will be harder to rebound in 2012.

If Obama is prez, he'll be untouchable.

If Shrillary is president, she'll be an easy target. And from this Hillary-Obama battle, many many Democrats have seen the light and realize that Republicans have been right all along about Hill-Billy.

Maharushi is right again.

I agree that they are sick of dynasties to a certain extent, but they will do them same thing that Republicans will do. The will blindly follow their partys candidate wheather the believe in him/beast or not. They will do this just like what is being ask of Conservatives with McCain.

You guys are nuts. If Rush had true big swaying power Mitt would be our nominee and I would be happy.

Not true. Rush was too afraid to support a candidate....remember all his weeks of explaining why he couldn't.

When he finally "sort of" backed Romney, it was already too late.

Yeah, Rush is one heck of a political strategist.

Aw grow up and the rest of you numbed mind robots. If you listened to Rush seriously and very much, none of you would be making these insane comments.
Rush needs no one in politics for ratings and he cares more for others and the country than you are capable of realizing.

McCain COULD exploit B. Hussein, but won’t. Hell he already apologized to him once! Half the people in this country hate Hillary. McCain is anemic, but has a better chance of beating her.

Voting against Hillary or Obama will be the easiest choice I have ever had. Unless Dan Quayle rises up out of retirement, there is no conservative candidate with enough name recognition to get past New Hampshire 4 years from now. If you were silly enough to follow Rush’s advice and voted in the Democratic primary, you have done nothing to help create a future conservative that could fit your ideal of what a perfect candidate could be. There is no one who would enjoy seeing a race/gender war break out at the Democratic National Convention this year in Denver than me, but I refuse to lower myself to crossover in anyway to help make that happen. If going Linden LaRouche this fall is your way of teaching us some kind of lesson, you’re going to be learning a lot over the next 8 years. I hope you’re well read on the Communist Manifesto and the Koran, because there will be a new world order on the horizon if McCain doesn’t win in November.

That's ignoring the Bradly/Dinkins/Wilder effect. Many white liberals don't want to be perceived as racist, so much so that they will tell a pollster they are voting for the black candidate, even in an exit poll after they have voted. But in the privacy of the booth, they vote for the white man.

McCain will beat either Hillary or Obama by ten or twelve percentage points and a wide margin in the Electoral College.

Jeff Greenfield talks about why Bugs Bunny always beats Daffy Duck: (http://www.slate.com/id/2185720/

Bugs: JFK, Reagan, Clinton, Bush II
versus
Daffys: Nixon, Carter, Bush I, Gore

Obama (a Bugs) would face McCain (a Daffy) and likely win. But McCain (a Daffy) has a good shot at beating the more polarizing Hillary (also a Daffy).

What Rush is doing is bigger than just Hillary or Obama, he’s out to destroy the Dem party.

Or maybe he was just out to prove to the MSM--after McCain's comeback--- that he still has influence.

This is the more likely scenario since he sets aside an hour of each show to talk about himself.

Has anyone bothered to listen to Rush's logic behind this strategery?

You can't reason with many of the hate Rush goofs on FR. They have bought into the claim that Rush benefits if either Clinton or Obama is in the White House...he's just in it for the ratings. I suspect most of Rush's critics never really listen to him or understand what motivates him.

It will be interesting to see if those who claimed that Rush lost when Rommey dropped out will now admit he won by helping Clinton win. LOL!! Buy popcorn futures!!

People are projecting Bill’s charm and slickness onto Hillary. Hillary doesn’t have 1/10th of the political skills of Bill or even Obama for that matter. Hillary is a terrible candidate. Hillary will have to tear the party apart to win, and then she would have to put it back together by naming Obama as VP. I am not sure Obama would take it.

Don’t know that we will ever be able to prove it but I would be willing to bet the crossover vote totalled less that 1/2 of 1%. That a fair amount of time on talk shows was given to people who did so should in no way be definitive proof that crossover voting happened in a big way. I see the impact as being at best minimal.

I heard on the news that 1/3 of the primary voters were Repubs so yes, I think Rush played a part in Hillary’s victory. If she wins the presidency, it is on his head. There was a chance to defeat the witch yesterday...thanks Rush.

Clearly, many conservatives have not learned anything in the last 18 years. El Rushbo is right most of the time. I think he’s right here as well.

This strategy has some major benefits:
1. It prolongs the cat fighting in the Democrat party.
2. It points out an ongoing problem with our primaries. For 50 years, in many states, the Democrats have been crossing over and voting for RINOs. This may put an end to that. I live in NH and the Democrats have been choosing our candidates forever.

I’ve been listening to Rush long enough to know that he’s probably right. He threw out a line. As usual, he caught a whole lot of MSM and citizens who don’t listen to his program. Rush has once again caused the MSM to react in exactly the way he wanted.

Bravo Rush!

I understand Rush’s reasoning...but I think getting the Clintons out of the race was more important.

“McCain will beat either Hillary or Obama by ten or twelve percentage points and a wide margin in the Electoral College.”

Now that is a prediction from deep inside the echo chamber.
Every intangible factor in this election points to a huge Dem win: Change/Bush/GOP fatigue, unpopular war, media hungering for a Dem, Dem base actication at all time high levels, GOP base hate McCain...McCain a weak candidate at best.

What factors do you see, pointing otherwise?

The pimping and whoring for Hillary Clinton in an attempt to manipulate the election is a perfect example of what Rush refers to as being “too smart by half”. (Which makes you a hole).

We agree on this... I think Rush views this as a second chance to defeat the Clintons...he lost round one-now we have round two. Rush has been wrong about the Clintons before. I hope he is not this time. You can’t really trust Rush or Dick Morris when it comes to the Clintons.
