Limbaugh Intentionally Throwing November Election to Hillary? (Real Reason He Wants Her to Stay in?)
Federal Review ^ | 03/03/08

Posted on 03/03/2008 5:10:55 PM PST by Behind Liberal Lines

There seems to be an inherent inconsistency in how radio host Rush Limbaugh is analyzing Hillary Clinton's chances for election.

On his radio show, he is urging his listeners to vote for her in tomorrow's primaries.

Limbaugh claims to be doing this because he thinks that the longer Clinton stays in the race, the more she'll damage Obama and the party, thereby increasing the chances of a Republican victory in November.

This, however, is contradicted by his statements about how resilient a candidate Mrs. Clinton would be. For example, today he stated that "these Clintons are like cockroaches. They'll be the last thing left after a nuclear blast."

If, as Limbaugh states, Hillary Clinton is such a tough candidate, it makes no sense for him to want her in the race if he truly hopes for a GOP win in November.

All of this leads to the conclusiong that, in fact, Limbaugh wants Hillary to be our next President.

As recently as last month, Limbaugh stated that, if John McCain were the Republican nominee, he would rather see the Democrats win the White House.

If that's the case, perhaps Limbaugh sees Hillary Clinton as a better (and more profitable target) for his program's commentary in the coming years. He already has years of experience mocking the Clintons. Furthermore, attacks on Hillary don't come with the risk of being called a racist, even if wrongly.

Finally, there may be simple profit motive. In the past it has been suggested that a President of one party, increases the circulation of magazines on the other side. Limbaugh, of course, publishes a monthly "Limbaugh Letter" magazine. And, of course, he is widely considered to have enjoyed his greatest popularity during the previous Clinton administration.

If this is true, perhaps Republicans in Texas and Ohio might want to reconsider taking voting advice from Rush in tomorrow's primaries.

12 million viewers now, 20 million when Clinton was POTUS.

Viewers??

This entire article is mighty silly.

But ...but ... but ... she's so likable. She's one of us.

CNN: Clinton relaxes with a beer.

Good point - maybe there was one good thing that came out of the Clinton presidency...

Limbaugh doesn’t have a hidden agenda. He wants to see the Democratic Party tear itself apart. It couldn’t happen to a better bunch of kooks. Rush is going to have his hands full no matter who wins this one. All three of the remaining possibilities are likely to pass another fairness doctrine. Obama and Hillary will do it to kill the conservative voice, and McCain will do it out of spite, calling it integrity.

I think Hill would move more to the middle than Hussein, and agree with Rush, as his supporters don’t seem to care about issues at all. It is all conjecture though.

McCain will be the next President.

However, if by some chance Obama mob gets to the White House it will be an unmitigated disaster and, like many years ago in Russia, we will not be able to get rid of them for decades.

McCain is toast no matter. I say Obama is far better than Hillary.

Looking at your signup date and your posts since you signed up, I'd guess you're a leftist troll.

Perhaps the author knows this.

Just wait. If it is obama it will be portrayed as nixon (with checkers instead of McCain’s scandals) vs JFk (with fainting girls instead of mistresses)

I say Obama is far better than Hillary.

You say so and anyone that disagrees is an idiot? And you have been around here for less than 2 weeks?

Read up on Obama and you will find that he is just as greasy, just as much a communist, just as evil as Hillary is. The big difference is that Hillary is widely hated. If I am going to live under a commie, one that is hated will do less damage.

Absolutely right. Even conservatives give Rush too much credit, drives me nuts. I love him for who he is and having someone that thinks like I do about a lot of things and says so. And we are not mind numb robots, lolol.

Currently, these two women are the only females to hold office in the New World...both are better looking than Shrillery and both are smarter. Unfortunately, like her, both swing to the left. The one on the right is Michelle Bachelet, President of Chile; the other is Cristina Elizabet Fernández de Kirchner, president of Argentina.

Rush’s motive is simple. He wants to keep her in so she can drag out the dirt on Obama, and Obama retaliates/responds, making him and her look stupid. It’s quite clever, really.

“50% of American voters have consistently said that under no circumstances would they vote for Hillary. This number has never wavered. Of the remaining 50% there are large numbers of voters who are not fans but would consider it.”

I agree - I’ve always felt that ultimately Hillary is unelectable due to her very high disapproval rating. (One talking head made the comment that the only group Hillary is capable of energizing is the conservative base to vote against her.) I believe Obama is electable, which is very scary - he is a political neophyte who would be paralyzed by the myriad demands of the office.

Who is viewing what? The Ditto Cam? Personally, I listen.
The Author of this drivel obviously is not a Listener. Rush wants Republcans in power no matter what. Hillary resents the opportunity to bloody Obama up. McQueeg is too much of a pansy to take on Obama. Mc Queeg prefers turning on his own party instead.
This whole controversy is paltry B.S. and so is this article.

Personally, I can’t in conscience vote for hillary or obama. To be honest, I don’t know WHAT is best for our country in this miserable situation. Tomorrow is primary day in Vermont. I have a good candidate to vote for on the town selectboard, and I’ll see what the other options are. I expect that Vermont Democrats are probably stupid enough to vote for Obama.

All three presidential candidates represent serious dangers to the future of our country, IMHO. I’ll give Rush the benefit of the doubt that he’s giving the best advice he can in difficult circumstances, whether or not he proves to be right.

Who knows what’s best to do at this point? Our options are severely limited.

It is best to have Hillary running instead of Obama who I don’t trust at all. With Hillary you know what you are getting. Obama nothing is cut and dried. Scary. Besides, Hillary would lose bigger in the national election than Obama would.

>> hara kiri (seppuku being the more formal term) en mass.

In “seppuku”, isn’t there a person that stands behind the hara-kiri-ee (or whatever you call the soon-to-be-dead one) and administers the coup de grace to the neck with a big ol’ sword, right after Mr. Lost Face slices his tummy open?

If the donks are going to do this en masse, I bet they’ll need some volunteers for the neck-whacking...?

Just wondering.
