There seems to be an inherent inconsistency in how radio host Rush Limbaugh is analyzing Hillary Clinton's chances for election.
On his radio show, he is urging his listeners to vote for her in tomorrow's primaries.
Limbaugh claims to be doing this because he thinks that the longer Clinton stays in the race, the more she'll damage Obama and the party, thereby increasing the chances of a Republican victory in November.
This, however, is contradicted by his statements about how resilient a candidate Mrs. Clinton would be. For example, today he stated that "these Clintons are like cockroaches. They'll be the last thing left after a nuclear blast."
If, as Limbaugh states, Hillary Clinton is such a tough candidate, it makes no sense for him to want her in the race if he truly hopes for a GOP win in November.
All of this leads to the conclusiong that, in fact, Limbaugh wants Hillary to be our next President.
As recently as last month, Limbaugh stated that, if John McCain were the Republican nominee, he would rather see the Democrats win the White House.
If that's the case, perhaps Limbaugh sees Hillary Clinton as a better (and more profitable target) for his program's commentary in the coming years. He already has years of experience mocking the Clintons. Furthermore, attacks on Hillary don't come with the risk of being called a racist, even if wrongly.
Finally, there may be simple profit motive. In the past it has been suggested that a President of one party, increases the circulation of magazines on the other side. Limbaugh, of course, publishes a monthly "Limbaugh Letter" magazine. And, of course, he is widely considered to have enjoyed his greatest popularity during the previous Clinton administration.
If this is true, perhaps Republicans in Texas and Ohio might want to reconsider taking voting advice from Rush in tomorrow's primaries.
Take her out: remove all doubt!
He got Bill elected. Why not Hillary?
If Rush had the power these idiot THINK he has we would not be talking about a McCain nominee.
Rush is correct.
So was Cassandra.
Two theories: 1)The longer Queen Hildabeast is viable, the more the ‘Rats will fight, and bloody themselves, and make McNasty look even better...or, 2)...in the event the ‘Rat gets elected - when the business cycle finally gets around to a real serious downturn, better it be when the ‘Rats are running the show.
Good point. Bill Clinton’s Presidency also made Ann Coluter’s career.
Rush couldn’t sway the Republican Primaries, what makes you think he can sway the Democrat Primaries?
On the other hand, with a hillary president and a rat congress, the fairness doctrine gets passed and Rush is thrown off hundreds of stations.
That’s a big hole in your theory.
Good point. Bill Clintons Presidency also made your moniker possible.
I agree with Rush. Obama is a much more formidable opponent than Hillary. I think that he is absolutely right to try to throw primary votes to her. To say that he wants her to win the presidency is patently absurd.
>> I’m big, long time, fan of Rush.
Me too.
But I think Rush has jumped the shark with his support for Hillary.
Fact is, she’s a Clintoon (synonomous with “criminal”). She will do whatever it takes to gain power. WHATEVER it takes.
She’s behind a hundred or so delegates? So what. Especially when it will be essentially impossible for Obama to gain enough before the convention to clinch the nomination.
If it’s a bloody, brutal, damaging convention you want, the best way to ensure that is to keep Obama in the lead.
But, while “bloody convention” would be an *acceptable* outcome for me personally, what I REALLY want is to see the beyotch’s political coffin nailed shut. Finally and with no hope of escaping to terrorize the countryside ever again.
Oh and did I mention that I also despise that scummy hubby of hers? NEVER do I want to envision him in his boxer shorts in the Oval Office.
For these reasons, I will be voting for Obama tomorrow in the TX primary.
Sorry, El Rushbo.
The eventual full implementation of the Fairness Doctrine by any of the next “leftist” POTUS will mean eventually no more conservative talk radio and no more Rush Limbaugh (as well as no more “everything conservative” from the new media). So, why would Rush seriously want any of the final candidates for POTUS to win on November 4?
Who cares. If you go vote for Hillary, you are an idiot. Why would you put that bullet in the chamber? What an idiot. McCain is toast no matter. I say Obama is far better than Hillary.
50% of American voters have consistently said that under no circumstances would they vote for Hillary. This number has never wavered. Of the remaining 50% there are large numbers of voters who are not fans but would consider it.
Hillary and Bill may be crafty, but I really doubt they are crafty enough to overcome the fact that all of the media fawning over Hillary for 16 years did nothing but make at least half the nation despise her.
Rush...
You magnificent bastard!
Think about it, FReepers...
Wrong - any dem is going to do the opposite - namely vote for Hussein who will be the easiest to defeat.
