For what its worth, here is the Extended Stay America Pet Policy. Would be interesting to know whether Coma Man paid the $75, acknowledging the animal(s)upon check in.

Would that be in the butt, Bob?
Sadly, in more outstanding Vegas news, there was a local medical clinic who just advised that they have been REUSING syringes and that people need to be tested for Hepatitis C.
Per press conf with LV authorities on FOX at 10:40 PM (eastern) firearms were found in the room- they also found the Anarchist Cookbook open to pages on ricin.
The man who is hospitalized with a coma is 57years old. His friend/relative who9 found the ricin is 52...2 cats alive and healthy and a deceased dog were also found in the room.
ping to #123 for update
A few years back, I learned that terrorists were looking into methods involving putting it on money.
Vegas would be a great place to do this.
Just a few instances could put the place into a standstill.
Seems like there were reports way back when the hostilities started, that we found an abandoned facility with dogs chained up and dead from “testing” of either chem or biological agents.
Interesting. ‘Anarchist Cookbook’ ‘Firearms’
Drip Drip Drip......it’s starting to come out.
Thanks for the update.
I give up... Where?
Some good observations. There is much much more to this story.
You are absolutely right about the dog and that more than likely someone had been feeding that dog until it died from ricin poisoning. The cats were still alive.
I for one don’t believe the reports about an ‘Anarchist Cookbook’ opened to the very page on ricin! That’s ridiculous. The stuff was already made and put into vials for crying out loud!
If you are holed up in a hotel room cooking ricin and you get sick and have to call an ambulance(the guy was conscious when picked up, contrary to earlier reports)..don’t you close the damn ‘cookbook’ and try hide the evidence before the ambulance gets there?
You bet you do!
Thanks for your thoughts on this very strange ‘story’.
When I was there, it looked like the dirtiest city in America.
I think they do them all the time at those tables in the casinos. Clean you out and leave you dopey.

A police spokesman says that the book was tabbed at a spot with information about ricin. He declined to give details about what kinds of weapons were found.
Despite the book and the weapons, officials don’t think there is a link to terrorist activity.
Not sure why you pinged me, ‘Dita.
But I will say this; I’ve had enough castor oil to last me a lifetime. Evidently, so did this guy.
I know. I’m not very understandable tonight, time to stop posting.
There is, however, speculation that he may have been vying for a Darwin Award.

THERE ARE SOME EXPLOSIVE NEW DETAILS!
Coma guy’s friend had stayed at the Excaliber Wednesday night. A ‘relative’ had called on the 22 to inform the manager that there were animals in the room. The dog was put down.
This part in particular was a crock:
“I want to assure everybody that the Las Vegas Valley is safe, Lombardo said. We currently dont have a terrorist threat.
New details and a clearer timeline of events were revealed at a press conference Friday night.
Lombardo said that on Feb. 22 a relative of the 57-year-old man who had been hospitalized since Feb. 14 in a local hospital with respiratory problems called the Extended Stay Motel manager to tell him that animals were in the room.
The manager called the Humane Society which rescued a dog and two cats from the room. According to Lombardo, a veterinarian had to put the dog to sleep.
By Feb. 27, the manager went to the room to evict the hospitalized man, but instead, discovered guns and an anarchist-type textbook with information about ricin in it, Lombardo said.
It doesnt make you a terrorist to have an anarchist-type textbook, Lombardo said.
Police are still investigating how and why the ricin was in the ill mans room.”
BUT HEY...IT DOESN’T MAKE YOU A TERRORIST JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE TO READ ‘ANARCHIST TEXTBOOKS’ ON HOW TO MAKE RICIN FOLKS......LOL
I understand.
.
What, you think I'm kidding? I'm married. Trust me, I understand.
"Ricin has an average lethal dose in humans of 0.2 milligrams (1/5,000th of a gram)[citation needed], though the CDC gives a possible minimum figure of 0.5 milligrams if exposure is from injection or inhalation.[1]"
NO Cheers, unfortunately.
Thanks for the ping. See the link at post #136. More details. The police chief says they ‘currently’ have no terrorist threat and that Anarchist ‘textbooks’ (sounds so studious) don’t mean you are a terrorist.
Good Grief!
It was a play on words, that’s why I pinged you. Silly moment.
Now I realize xroadie was saying he was a patient at the clinic that re-used dirty syringes. Sorry, xroadie, didn’t mean to make light and hope you are okay.
