But I'm still NOT voting for McCain.
There’s a world war on and you’re going to pick Jimmy Carter over FDR? Tasty pick.
McCain may not be a Rolls Royce but you can be sure he will get us there.
But Rush gets a laugh out of justifying his non-support of McCain by spinning it this way.
He’s having fun with the media and McCain, while appearing to be purposely helpful, even though he’s not.
It sure makes for a good show, though! GO RUSH!
But I’m still NOT voting for McCain.
Good man ! The folks on either side do not deserve to represent us citizens . I’m writing in God .

Rush is helping Hillary, and all the "willful suspension of disbelief" and cognitive dissonance in EIBland won't change that.
Respectfully, the great one, El Rushbo is wrong here, and history will not let him forget it if he drives the conservatives to let a psychopathic Marxist rule you.
So, when President Hillary Rodham's appointees come after your property, your firearms, your vehicles, your small businesses, your food choices, your choice of words, your earnings, your children's values and political orientation, your children's sexual orientation, our Military's command structure, our choice of family physicians, and political forums like Free Republic, and your votes don't seem to be counted by people that you trust, then think of how principled are those who withheld votes for a somewhat-less-than-completely-conservative McCain.
Shouldn't you know his record?

You’re right, Rush.
You’re not really all that bright.

Rush is an entertainer, and he thrives on controversy. If there is none, he will create some. He was never happier than during the Clinton years. He can make hay with any of the three current front-runners. As far as his show goes, I don’t think he really cares which one gets elected.
On a personal level, we don’t know what he really thinks.
Right Rush!
People forget that 4 years of Hillary or Obama means at least 1 or 2 SCOTUS appointments. and many Fed judges including a refill fo the 9th circus.
McCain sucks
but the difference tween him and crusty is big
tween him and Malcolm O, it’s a canyon
Obama scares the crap outta me
someone as radical as he has never run for national office....well, not since the 30s....what was his name ..Debs?
and even those old Reds weren’t gun confiscators and abortion lovers
Well, Hmmmm.... Hillary’s campaign started tanking when Ann Coulter came out and endorsed the pantsuit...
RUSH: Carville is on to something. He may be irritating now and then, but he's not stupid.
He knows it's not just conservative talk radio McCain has a problem with. There are people -- he refers to them as the hinterland. I refer to it as the place where the people that make the country work live. But he's at least right about that.
Carville is tracking...Big Time.
Rush is closing in on his Lonesome Rhodes moment.
< sigh > you know, we’re going to “principle” our way to pure hell for EIGHT years, NOT FOUR, of Democratic lunacy. The situation is clear:
*because of our infighting in the primaries, we’re now stuck with McCain
*McCain is NOT EXACTLY the same as Hillary/Obama. Similarities yes, but not the same.
*the next president will get to nominate 2, maybe even 3 SC justices to the bench.
*as bad as McCain is, there is simply NO ARGUMENT, THAT MAKES SENSE, THAT SAYS MCCAIN’S NOMINEES WILL BE AS BAD AS HILLARY’S/OBAMA’S
That, combined with the fact that McCain will prosecute the WoT much more effectively than Hillary would leads any reasonable person to say, “I’m not going to act like a CHILD, and say I’m not voting for McCain because I didn’t get my candidate in there, rather, I’m going to act like an ADULT, and realize that, unless I want the SC SCREWED UP for the next 30 years, and absolutely NOTHING done on the WoT, I’m going to HAVE to vote for McCain!”
As I’ve said previously, no one likes that McCain is in the drivers seat for the nomination, and it would take a miracle to stop that now, but it’s time to act like adults and deal with reality. The only reason the “revolution of ‘94” happened was because conservatives realized they were snookered by ol’ big ears down in Texas in ‘92, and realized it’s best to affect change from WITHIN the party, not by standing by and letting the party be DESTROYED from the outside!
Thus, it’s not an analogous situation today. We have no 3rd party spoiler to blame. We only have OURSELVES to blame; so to think that letting a Dem win to “teach the RNC a lesson” is foolhardy. There’s no lesson to learn other than the most basic of all: Quit fighting so much in the primaries and maybe we can get behind REAL conservatives sooner! But again, that’s a lesson for 2012.
TODAY, it’s time to suck it up, act like an adult, and do the RESPONSIBLE thing, or has this site suddenly become a site to promote Democrats to office, simply to “teach the RNC a lesson”? Funny, I can’t remember a time when it was EVER acceptable to even SUGGEST voting FOR a Democrat on FR.
