People forget that 4 years of Hillary or Obama means at least 1 or 2 SCOTUS appointments. and many Fed judges including a refill fo the 9th circus.
I think 2 Supremes at least, and both in the first term, which should give pause to people who say “we need to elect a Carter so we can have a Reagan.”
My reasoning? Ginsburg’s cancer is in remission, but she’ll be just about 76 when the next President comes into office. Stevens, meanwhile, will be just about 89 when Inauguration Day rolls around. Even if he has no plans to retire, living to be 93 isn’t something that most people do.
