Did not see a live thread to keep track of how things were going.
Latest results from VA on the Repub side
Mike Huckabee 12,025 47.85% Precincts Reporting: 169 of 2,472 (6.836% reporting)
John McCain 11,379 45.28%
Ron Paul 867 3.45%
Mitt Romney 628 2.49%
Fred D. Thompson 163 0.64%
Rudy Giuliani 65 0.25%
**I wonder if something went wrong.**
The weather? LOL!
I’m watching the results in Virginaia right now.
It seems most of us are focusing solely at who is winning the Republican primary.
With 75% of the precincts reporting on both sides...
Democrats cast 651,496 votes
Republicans cast 315,867 votes
Obama received 414,472 votes
McCain received 167,958 votes
Anyone else see a problem for the Republican candidate McCain this fall?
BTW, in every election since 1992, the Clintons have been whining about black voters being disenfranchised. Always trying to make it easier for them to vote, and such.
But this year seems to be different. No Clinton howling and yowling about disenfranchised black voters this year. I wonder why that is.
Is she STILL talking?
She’s promising the world (and the sun and wind) to them. Frightening socialism.
...that finger that is digging into each and every listener's neck.
Yes, we have to pass a kid, even if he or she doesn’t know anything about the world.
I wish the crowd would interrupt Hillary with applause more often. My ears need a break from that over-modulated whine.
Obama is getting close to 90% of the Black vote — of course CLinton can’t carry DC against that!
I don’t believe Alan Keyes would draw any black votes.
LOL - MSNBC just cut away from her rant! If she loses MSNBC...
It was a bit icy here. :-)
She is her own worst enemy. This is a terrible speech.
No Global Cooling, no Global Warming. :o)
Hi, GoMonster and G8:
Romney, Hunter, Huckabee, Guiliani and Fred were included on the full ballot in very heavily Democrat Prince George’s County, MD.
I cast my primary ballot for Fred this afternoon and felt pleasantly smug about it.
Jack.
No kidding, this is why Obama is beating her, his speeches are MUCH better.
Well, actually, they are, but it's the black voters in Florida and Michigan they're howling about, and they're doing by proxy. It's kind of like calling that old statue of liberty play when the other side has the ball.
I am listening to Hillary screeching in El Paso. Hands down the worst public speaker of all time.
A large number of republicans voted for Obama. I read somewhere that 30% of the democratic primary voters were independents and republicans.
At my precinct, we had about 500 republican voters, and over 700 democrats. The democrat number is about normal, while our republcian number is up to 1/3 what it usually is.
